1. I hope it's Ottawa, and I hope it's a sweep!
Yes, I am on the Sens bandwagon now!

Hoping for some huge hits (against the Ducks).

GO SENS GO!

2. Sadly I'm not sure what can take Pronger out,
but the Sens have been hitting well throughout the playoffs this year.

7. A few years ago in the playoffs Pronger was trying to take out Stevie Y
by going after his bad knee. Real dirty play. Stevie deftly stepped out of the way and Pronger hurt himself - and was out of the series - trying to recover! Later, he said he didn't "blame Yzerman" for hurting him. LOL. I think you just need to bait Pronger with your best skater and he can take himself out.

15. Good strategy.
Or Chris Neil can let his dirty side show as well, but that would get Ottawa shitloads of penalties. Ever since the start the of the playoffs, the refs seem to have decided that when teams do one bad move, they should be repeatedly punished with questionable penalties.

9. Don't let anyone tell you that the Senators weren't an original NHL franchise!
That "original six" crap... is total crap. The Ottawa Senators, Montreal Maroons, New York Americans and Pittsburgh Pirates were original NHL frachises too!

The Sens go for their first cup in 80 years!

11. Yes, they were, but they aren't now!
There were six teams that kept the NHL going. But I don't have anything against Ottawa. I liked Winnipeg's team before they lost it, too, and the Nordique. I generally like the Canadian teams, along with the Original Six.

12. The "Original Six" isn't Original.
The only reason that term is used is because the NHL was whittled down to six teams after the depression and stayed that way for 26 years until the expansion in the mid-60's. So technically, the Sens are a original NHL franchise.

6. I know. I was just looking at my Zetterberg screen saver
and it made me really sad. I didn't like watching the last few minutes of the season end.....

13. Pshaw...root for the Bruins if you want torture.
:puke:

As an added bonus we get the Celtics in the winter. :eyes:

And people wonder why the Sox and Patriots are so popular. It's because we don't want anyone to notice the bastard children in the room. :)

16. Ottawa in six
If an "original six" team can't win the Cup this year, I hope Ottawa can. Hockey teams below the Mason-Dixon line are an abomination unto the Lord. It says so in Leviticus.

17. Original Six my butt!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Original_six

The term is a misnomer; as shown above, only the two Canadian teams were charter members of the NHL, and three other expansion teams (the Montreal Maroons, the New York Americans and the Pittsburgh Pirates) were all likewise added to the league after its foundation. The Boston Bruins were the first American franchise, and the other three American teams joined the league in an earlier expansion that enlarged the league to ten teams, its maximum size before 1967. But all six of them do date from the league's first decade, and the six teams formed the entire league for 25 years after such franchises as the Maroons, Americans, and the original Ottawa Senators were bankrupted by the Great Depression.
