Final four QBs at top of the class
By Adam Schefter
Special to NFL.com

(Jan. 18, 2005) -- Finally, after more than 20 years of waiting, we have a collection of quarterbacks comparable to the Class of '83.

Atlanta's Michael Vick, and the experience he offers. Philadelphia's Donovan McNabb, whose own experience is pretty magical. Pittsburgh's Ben Roethlisberger, who never has lost an NFL start. And New England's Tom Brady, who never has lost an NFL playoff game.

A group of quarterbacks this good can be found only in Canton, that's it.

1. Why is Vick on this list?
Don't you have to do something other than run for your life in order to be considered a great QB? I will grant you that he is a great athlete, but he has long way to go before he is a great leader. For now, Atlanta's defense and special teams have masked an inept offense. When Vick learns how to read his progressions and to look off defenders and to roll out buy time, then we can grade him as a QB.

4. NFL fluff piece
You're right about Vick. Watching the guy pass is painful. He's not even Randall Cunningham yet. And Roethlisberger hasn't even played a full season.
