but as long as he knows he will sell out every game and can force people to buy preseason tickets and parking passes, who really cares? He's turned a mediocre team into the most profitable franchise in US sports. He's printing money out of the wallets of skins fans. Because of that waiting list, however real it is, he doesn't need to worry. He's guaranteed ten sellouts a year, that's what, 900,000 people, roughly? Average person spends a total of say, $125 on ticket, beer, food, parking, etc. I think that's low. But we'll take it and say that gives him a guaranteed revenue stream of $112million, before he sells a single jersey. I think the game day number is probably closer to $150, so that's $135million basically guaranteed. And that's before the $50 million from tv, the five from fedex, probably fifteen from skyboxes and other sponsorships. Basically, because of percieved demand, he's looking at $200 million in revenue as a baseline, no matter what the team does. As long as that waitlist continues there is no real correction from the market. If you are a ticket holder, you won't give them up, because you think you will never get them back, you have no effective method of protest, once you quit, there is no going back. Unless, of course, the waitlist is a paper tiger.
