Who else has stopped watching pre-Super Bowl hype?
"Today, Freddy Mitchell said he's going to catch at least one pass in the Super Bowl. How is the Patriots secondary going to respond to this, another OUTLANDISH statement from Mitchell?"

Who cares? How are a few has-beens going to know the answer to that question, anyway? The only way we're going to know the answer to that is by watching the game.

Pushing the idea a little further, why do players bother talking to the media at all in the weeks leading up to the game unless they want to have a little fun? Anything they say will be blown up, overanalyzed, and twisted into something that is completely different from what they intended to say. Why even bother?

2. I figured I'd skip all that
And just watch the game. If I could fast forward through the half-time show, I'd be happy, too.

4. Don't get me started on the halftime show.
"Yes, I do want to spend an hour of my time watching washed-up celebrities and talentless hacks."

No thanks.

9. I'm the same way.
I love ESPN, but they take themselves too seriously at times. No, Michael Irvin, nothing you say is going to affect the Super Bowl once the game kicks off.
