Paul Newman takes his last laps at Lime Rock

Oh man, this paragraph has me in tears. This was emailed to me by a racing friend in Connecticut.

Lime Rock was closed down today Wednesday for an hour and a half so Paul Newman could take a few last laps there in his GT1 Corvette and say goodbye. He was diagnosed with cancer 18 months ago and is not expected to make it past September.

And his salad dressing is awesome.

You know with a month or two left to live he couldn't be feeling well.

Today I went to see an old friend who has cancer. Like Newman, he's a class act and he has a couple of months or less to go. It was probably the last time I'll ever see him.
