NOW Vows to Defend Women's Rights With Civil Disobedience

The NOW convention just ended here in Nashville, all the plans changed after Sandra Day O'Connor announced her retirement:

'BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that in these dark days of the Bush Administration, NOW and its chapters recommit ourselves to the struggle to save women's fundamental rights; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that nonviolent civil disobedience be one of the wide range of strategies and tactics employed by NOW to oppose restrictions on women's lives; and . . .'

1. Where were all the women in 2004 who voted for bush
were they that naive to believe when he said he would nominate judges of the calibar of Scalia and Thomas, that he wouldn't?

The potential damage to woman's rights, health, and saftey will now be compromised unless we take back the Congress in 2006

If we are very, very, luckey, moderate republicans will move toward our direction

3. They were
defending a womans right to play golf with the guys.

I wish the feminists were not distracted from the real issues affecting women even than like fair wages, domestic abuse etc.

But no they got distracted over golf. Some feminists even became sorta accommodating to sexism as the right began to pull out the women's empowerment movements teeth one by one.
