Please vote for teachers in Florida.
cfnews.com has a poll because Florida legislators want to dock our pay based on student FCAT results.

Thanks

1. a few years ago it was IT workers who magically and suddenly weren't smart enough to do their work
hence, outsourcing of the middle class economy

next target: teachers

who'll be found as the cause of america's evils next??

nurses?

2. I agree. They keep going after groups of working class people.
About 10 years ago in Florida they were considering going after nurses by replacing most with LPN's, but I think they turned to teachers instead during Jeb's reign. Now they are going for our jugular. If they win, it will be the end of education as we know it. One republican had the nerve to say we are being "beaten" by countries that are writing their schoolwork in mud. Of course, he has no data to support such bull.

4. Wow!
When I voted, the results were: 21% thought the teachers' pay should be docked, 47% said it should not, and 30% thought there shouldn't be standardized tests. The results surprised me.

Interesting too, were the results of previous polls, one in which 75% thought taxes should not be raised to fully fund schools, and another that showed 65% were against increasing the number of students per classroom. I wonder how that will work out for them?

6. Here it is
The poll is different today, although still teacher related. Is there too much emphasis on the FCAT?
