I've received an email to attend a faculty job fair!

At a community college in California.

I qualify for three position openings, so I'll be taking resumes, transcripts, references, and supporting materials for each of these positions.

The invitation said I would be meeting faculty, division deans, administrators, and staff.

Anyone else attend a "faculty job fair?" Any advice?

I pretty excited about this. I've applied to jobs the "old fashioned way": placement packet with resume, cover letter, letters, supporting material, etc. but nothing ever came of it.

I hoping this job fair will help me get my foot in the door! :hi:

This email said, "full-time, tenure track openings," and the source is the California Community College registry, so I believe it's legit.

Perhaps I might inquire to make certain...discreetly, of course...
