They've chose a theme song. It's all over Facebook and a few blogs so I'm assuming it's official.

Other updates on the march:

There will be a bloggers party Friday night. Open to all coming for the march and featuring your favorite education bloggers. (My favorite is madfloridian. Hint, hint to mad, who deserves to be honored at this event.)

The route has been changed. We're marching from the Ellipse to the White House, instead of the DOE. Another good choice.

Speakers at the conference July 28 and 29 include Jonathan Kozol and Diane Ravitch. At the rally before the march, speakers include Taylor Mali, Matt Damon, and Cornell West.

1. is there a facebook page?

my wife is the people chair of her local afscme union. this is something her committee can get involved in.

there`s an illinois contact that i`m emailing.

since i`m retired i get to do all the research and other stuff to help her out.

Is there some concern about who will show up if we Invite Others?

I like the Invite in FaceBook, because it puts the item in everyone's Events.

5. No concern that I have heard

They are expecting 10,000 for the march. Kind of hard to be disruptive.

But bring it on. Pissed off teachers are not a fun group. :)
