Christian group calls off Disney boycott
A major Christian conservative organization called off its nine-year boycott of the Walt Disney Co. on Monday, citing "positive signs" that the company had moved away from its "arrogance" and "embrace of the homosexual lifestyle."

"The boycott of Disney is now a matter of personal conviction, rather than a matter of ministry emphasis," Tim Wildmon, AFA president, said in a statement posted on the group's Web site.

Not that anyone cares, Mr. Wildmon.

1. So, both the left and the right boycott Disney? That's funny to me.

2. What are these "positive signs"?
If Disney *is* backing away from its admirable policy, I think we ought to know exactly how.

3. What positive signs?
At least, what positive signs according to them? Disney still has gay days and still gives benefits to partners of gays and lesbians. As for their movies, I wouldn't think that toning them down would be good enough for the AFA to call off their ineffective boycott.

4. Damn, I was hoping they would step up the boycott
That way when I visit:
1. It will not be quite as crowded
2. I wouldn't have to worry about someone preaching to me on vacation.

5. Uh, YEAH?!
Make 'em stay home! That's the irony! I love it that way much better, also.

Hey Fundies! Relax, put on some Christian Rock CDs, look at your Prescious Moments figurines, and wait for the rapture that will PASS YOU BY. K? We won't miss you.
