1. OK, I'm busted. I'm a sucker for good writing.
I love "Rick and Steve." It's one of the funniest things on TV right now.

And yes, I'm laughing with them, not at them.

2. havent seen the show. I hate shows like American Top Model but Drag Race
is amazing. The transformation of these talented artists is just so marvelous. Plus Ru Paul is really sweet

3. Agreed, I've been glued to that one, too
and Ru Paul still looks fabulous. It's a little jarring seeing her in bloke mode, though.

5. Drag race is
great. It's like a guilty pleasure. I love drag shows but
have friends who diss on drag queens as a negative aspect of
"gay" culture. It's a weapon the breeders use
against us. But I know they secretly watch it.

6. i hate that we now have to decree non heteronormative parts of our culture
as negatives.

16. We even partake
in this. When you read ads like "seeking straight acting" or "non-femmes." We ourselves are looking down on characteristics typical in the gay culture.

13. Well, I would submit that it is unhelpful to refer to heterosexuals as "breeders."
I know gay people who have children. Their own children. Ergo, they're "breeders."

And I know straight people who are deliberately, contemplatively (not as result of inability) childless.

The term "breeder" is meant as a pejorative, an insult, a "categorization."

It's unhelpful. IMO.

11. Please tell Lisa I said, "Thank You."
I haven't been able to donate yet (I'm getting tired of these ads, so it should happen sooner rather than later) but plan on returning the favor.

:)

25. Funny you should mention that.
One of the local bars here in Atlanta holds a drag athletic competition as an HIV/AIDS fundraiser every year. One of the events is a race through an obstacle course in the parking lot, aka the "drag race." The contestants are allowed to take off their heels and wear sneakers for this event, but otherwise they're in full drag. Imagine 20 or so men of all shapes and sizes, in full drag, running at full speed through a parking lot in broad daylight!

It's a sight to behold and VERY funny to watch!

20. Think a fusion between "America's Next Top Model" and "Project Runway."
And all the contestants are drag queens.

It's an absolute laugh riot! :D

Exes and Ohs (I love love LOVE that show!)
Noah's Arc
Alien Boot Camp
RuPaul's Drag Race (my new favorite)
Can't Get a Date
First Comes Love (there were a couple of tearjerker episodes!)
Real Momentum (I really enjoy their documentaries!)

ETA: I liked Sordid Lives: The Series, although it took a while for that one to grow on me. And I say that as a HUGE fan of the move!
