Sigh. Knowing it's coming doesn't make it any easier....
Paul just got home from the doctor. They are going to replace his pacemaker.

Simple operation, he says. In one day, out the next, he says.

Yet I'm now a nervous wreck.

They're going to call in a few days to let us know when.

I blame love.

5. My dad is about to have this done too.
As I understand, it's kind of like switching out components, no big deal. But I sure sympathize with your worry!

12. Good Luck. I Understand Your Anxiety, But It Really Should Be Routine.
My dad had it done, and he really WAS in one day and out the next, with no complications.

13. Think positive thoughts!
Being a nervous wreck will only cause you to age before your time. You don't want them to wheel him out to the door, only to have to wheel you in for a face lift, do you?

That was my lame attempt at a joke, but doesn't translate well through text. It's the thought, I guess. Laughter is a good stress reliever.

You're in my thoughts! I'm sure all will go well, just think positive... and...

Big E-Hug!
