I wonder if a conference call or a realtime chat-room type thing
would help us reach consensus on what the glbt forum really needs from skinner et al.

Personally, after giving it a lot of thought, i think at the end of the day, i think we need more lgbtq mods and other mods and admins need to take them seriously. we know when we are being attacked and taunted. i am not sure, assuming the best intent is always a good idea. i think a low threshold for bias is a better idea and there is no reason why this can't be the new standard.

As Milk said "It’s not enough anymore just to have friends represent us. No matter how good that friend may be. There is a major difference – and it remains a vital difference – between a friend and a gay person, a friend in office and a gay person in office…" Harvey Milk

If anyone would like to be on a conference call to work on a practicable solution, let me know,

1. A conference call would not result in any better consensus than the current written dialog.
Also, such a suggestion would need to be approved by Skinner, wouldn't you agree?

Sounds counterproductive to me.

2. why would it need skinners approval? bunch of du'ers want to talk
they can.

in my opinion, and because i run an lgbt organization, consensus is much easier reached in person/over phone than on email

3. I agree - a "caucus" type format would work better here
as far as consensus-building.
