Teacher facing more controversy after joining anti-gay group

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — A Lake County teacher who got national attention for posting anti-gay comments on Facebook is stirring up more controversy with a new video.

Mount Dora High School teacher Jerry Buell joined the National Organization for Marriage. It's a nonprofit that raises money to oppose gay marriage.

Buell is one of the faces of its new national campaign, “Marriage Anti-Defamation Alliance." He’s in a video the organization’s website.

“The story about New York Okaying same sex unions came on and it made me want to throw up,” he said.

In August, Buell made news when the district suspended him for several harsh anti-gay marriage posts on his personal Facebook page.
