I wore makeup yesterday for the first time !
Yesterday my ex -bless her heart- came over and gave me a total makeover , makeup , eyebrows and all . I did not go out though, but it was strange how a simple thing like putting eyeshadow and foundation ,even at home , can make you happy.

She said I already had a feminine face and mouth , only my body and curves except my legs were male . I have been thinking about going on hormone therapy now , but I know it might be a point of no return .so naturally I am scared.

wish me luck , on my journey of self discovery and learning how to live with myself , no, just simply learning the art of living , I suck at that.

5. Most of us have those feelings at some point. I stopped putting on makeup years and years
ago, so it's good to hear that you enjoyed it.

7. No, you don't.
Beauty is 100% state of mind. If you make yourself a slave of popular culture there is no amount of makeup that can make you look better.

JMHO.

6. Cool!
And good luck on your journey. I hope that you find contentment. Just remember that if you do you've done better than most people. ;)

Myself, I'm a non-makeup person. I think it stems back to my childhood when my dad would drive us kids to school. He'd tell my sister that she was so beautiful that she didn't need makeup. Invariably he'd look at me and tell me that me that a little makeup would help and then he'd suggest I ask my mom to take me to the store. By the time he dropped us off at school I had no confidence left. Anyway, the lesson I learned was: you just got to believe in yourself and be yourself. Oh yeah, I also learned to start asking dad for "makeup money" which I used to buy concert tickets and albums. :)

11. The funny thing was
when I became a cheerleader, and actually started buying and wearing makeup, he complained. I swear, he spent more time finding things I did to disappoint him than being supportive. Now he says he did that to prepare me for life's disappoints and acts like I owe him one.

12. I don't cross-dress, but
some of my best friends do, and some have been cross-dressing for many years, and are very comfortable with it, doing so when the mood strikes them, dressing butch other times. Anyway, I'm glad you finally had a little fun - you've seemed down here, so maybe this means happier times are coming for you. :)

13. I'm just a stupid, straight, 53 year old, newly transplanted to Orlando
single white male and my support for the GLBT community is unwavering.
Less hate, more love, more smiles... that's my mantra.

If there is a God, I'm sure he or she loves everyone, and he or she could really give a rats ass if your wearing makeup or not.
Your happy, and you make someone else happy, that's all that really counts.

Your little post made me smile as I was drinking my coffee this morning.

"wish me luck , on my journey of self discovery and learning how to live with myself , no, just simply learning the art of living , I suck at that".

I got news for you Ocean.
We ALL suck at that!
Best of luck to you my friend!
