"Saving the embryos" - So, when are the righties going to start lining up

I mean, it's not just the act of "adopting" an embryo - if they are valuing the "life" trapped inside the embryo, then they must bring that "life" to full term.

They need to line up incubators.

How many righties are going to ask their daughters to implant the "saved" embryo in their uterus? This is one of those cases where the "black-and-white issue" people start talking about the "gray areas", whether or not they call it that.

The Righties scream about all the people who can't have children who are waiting to adopt a (white, healthy, etc) baby? There's a bunch of already-born children who are waiting to be adopted. Oh, they're "damaged", or "not the right genetic material" (ain't white).

I will not believe the righties until I start seeing them setting up "maternity wards" to bring all the "saved embryos" to life.

4. Maybe they will eventually urge all women to harvest their

eggs each month so that they can be fertilized and brought to term. After all, each egg represents a person. People could start adopting eggs and sperm, maybe have some sort of fertilization ritual in the churches.

Ewwwwwwww. Talk about going over to the "other side"; these fundies are starting to look more like mythical satanists, ie: Stephen King flicks with fertility rites etc.

I've never seen such blindness, ignorance, backwoods idealogies in my whole life! And for the first time, I can fully appreciate the metaphor about "drinking the koolaid". They're all in a freaking trance!

6. I wasn't really serious. However, with the fundies, nothing is too

gist of what you're saying and, hey, it's all chillingly plausible. My parents, long gone, were of that persuasion ie: 'masturbating is spilling the seed of man and it's a sin'. So, see you're not far off. =o/
