8. Many -- if not most -- "whole grain" breads are fakes
I don't know about Ezekiel 4:9 brand, but most of the big brands' versions of "whole grain" breads are made with about 5% whole grains, and the rest of it is the usual overprocessed flour. "Whole Wheat Bread" is often the worst offender. There were really no laws regulating this the last time I checked.

If you want wholesome, filling, genuine bread products, your best choice is to buy them at health-food stores or the like. You'll pay a premium, but the improvement in your diet may be worth it. (And you can store most "natural" foodstuffs in the fridge or freezer.)

Well, your REAL "best choice" is to make them yourself. But sparing that, avoid the Wonder Bread and Grandpa Stroehmann.

11. Ezekiel 4:9
is real and really good.

Funny though, if you read Ezekiel 4:9, the recipe that they reference in the bible, it's given as a punishment. A few lines later the instruction is to eat cakes made out of human dung. I don't think that anyone is making that on a commercial basis yet.

4. True... I recently found that out.
When nothing else worked, I lost almost 30 pound in a couple month restricting carbs mainly from breads. All my life I mistakenly thought to lose weight I needed to watch fat or calories, no, it was carbs all along. It's the last thing the food industry wants us to know since that is the main ingredient of most their products.

that stuff causes migraine headaches in some people, my sister-in-law will not believe food can cause a migraine.. and consumes a 6 pack or more a day of soft drinks and has constant migraines.. she is so habitually spiteful about anything anyone says.. i never visit my brother.. she is just unbelievably mean and TOTALLY STUPID. i feel sorry for her but sorryier for my brother..

in other words, they didn't control specifically for white bread, nor did they examine a wide variety of diets, nor did they control for self-selection. moreover, apparently the 'white bread' diets may have had atypically excessive amounts of white bread.

the conclusion that white bread is evil may be true, (and i certainly don't think it's a particularly good food) and other studies may prove it, but this one doesn't actually do much for saying anything conclusive about white bread or diet.

...as I routinely see guys in my home state of WI with bellys TWICE that size, and I'm sure they drink more beer than they eat white bread.
