HRI/PTC is a charitable, not for profit 501(c)(3) outpatient medical facility specializing in the treatment of biochemical imbalance. Our dedicated medical staff treats children, teens, and adults with symptoms of behavioral disorders, such as autism, ADD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, anxiety, schizophrenia, and depression.

PTC takes a unique, integrative approach to identify and treat the root metabolic causes of these symptoms; and does so with a multi-disciplinary team involving physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other clinical specialists.


www.aheadwithautism.com Ahead with Autism is sponsored by the Veronica Bird Charitable Foundation, a public charity. They strive to increase awareness, offer support, and fund autism research. The site has many resources and links in the autism community. A spanish language version of the site will be available soon.

www.autism.org The official website of the Center for the Study of Autism. The information provided is valuable for both parents and professionals. Provides numerous links to other related sites, which focus on the problems and concerns of autism and how it affects behavior, learning and health.

www.healing-arts.org/children This site, written and maintained by the Special Programs Director at the Continuum Center for Health and Healing, Beth Israel Medical Center, New York. It offers information on specific disorders, links to other sites and a web forum with contributions by health care professionals.

Nutrition

http://users.nlci.com/nutrition Written by a nutritionist, this on-line newsletter offers recipes, information on food allergies, choosing vitamins as well as ways to improve your child’s diet in an effort to help the ADD/ADHD child. Contains a valuable list of Internet resources related to health and diet.
www.gfcfdiet.com This site offers a support group, weekly food updates, "Ask the Dietitian", success stories, and lots of tips on successfully using the gluten-free/casein-free allergy diet.

www.autism-diet.com Information and resources from professionals at the University of Florida. The focus of this site is the gluten/casein free diet and tips on making it an effective option for your child.

www.autismNDI.com This site is supported by the Autism Network for Dietary Intervention, which offers help for families using a gluten and casein free diet in the treatment of autism and related developmental disabilities. Web links to other sites focusing on nutrition and diet are provided.

www.Feingold.org This is the official website of the Feingold Association, and organization which promotes an awareness of the potential role of food and synthetic additives in the treatment of behavior, learning and various health problems.

1. Is there a point to this post?
I see some good resources, and some others that are questionable.

Did you have a point to make with your post? Forgive me, but maybe I missed someone who requested this stuff.

2. It is part of a heated debate.... some claim vaccines are involved
with the development of autistic spectrum disorders, some not, some claim there is little to be done to recover autistic children and that is patently false.

5. Hopefully, the knowledge that has been gained from the efforts of
those who don't only see a nail when all they have is a hammer, will now be put to use to help those in need.
