Went back to regular lenses after two days. But I have a problem most people probably don't have, in that my left eye is about twice as bad as the right eye, in terms of correction needed. So with the mono lens thing, my distant viewing was better than ever, the close, reading distance was ideal, but the middle distance, such as the social distance, was a blur.
Perhaps if I'd stuck with it, or perhaps if we'd switched off which eye had which lens, it might have been just fine. But I think other people may have that middle distance problem with the mono lenses, just by watching how some of them behave.
Anyway, it didn't work for me and I'm perfectly content to wear contact lenses and use reading glasses.
I frequently remind myself that I was fortunate enough to be born into an era and social class where I could get corrective lenses.
