Modern digital dentistry, like most all of the US's "health care" infrastructure has succumbed to corporate profits.

Cone Beam CAT, Sirona "metal free" single visit in-office CAD/CAM crowns, sintered CAD/CAM YTZP (zirconia) crowns/bridges, digital impression CAD, CAD/CAM milled dilithium silicate crowns, are corporate BIG biz systems. They cover and fill all of the profession's publications. All have astounding failure rates in long term studies. Most all are foreign made/owned. Supported by state "regulations" and insurance billing codes.

Dentistry is being reduced to modern corporate business model, and the old-school family practices that provide health care are being decimated by multinational corporate sales jobs.

Very sad. :(

3. This is a concern for children in particular.

However, everyone should be concerned as the Xray machines used in dental offices vary. Adults can get too much radiation especially from the 3D dental Xrays as well. All radiation exposure adds to the cumulative Xray total on your body.
And no one knows just how much radiation exposure will trigger a cancer.

i think the radiation worries on the dentist chair is said due to the X-ray treatment, but if the X-ray treatment is said too. then i don't think its bad for children health . the X-ray treatment is really good. its too easy to see the gap between teeth by X-ray. it has many advantages in the digital dental treatment.
