After a year of vegetarianism, I tried a little meat. It was my husband's steak, well done. Just a couple of bites. It smelled so good that I wanted a bite. It felt heavy after I ate it. And then, about 36 hours later, it started. My system "got contaminated" by some form of microbiological nasty. I've stayed pretty close to home all day.

I guess some of us have to learn the hard way that we are better off doing the right thing. My bloodwork and cholesterol profile were enviable last month. Back to alot of fiber this weekend and maybe a detox tea to "clear" me out. I don't ever want to feel this sluggish again.

1. The thing about back-sliding
is don't look at it as a defeat. Don't give up. :)

It doesn't sound like you are worrying about it, but I always give this same advice. I've known a few people who gave up on being vegetarians because they had some meat and got all upset about it, and figured that they just couldn't handle being vegetarians.

I hope that tea helps clean you out so you feel better. :)

2. Thanks, I;m okay, and have been a "good girl" since, trying to avoid
any semblance to meat proteins. I think it was something I had to do. Something I needed to know.

Geez, W would have been incredibly entertained by the ahs-whistling going on around here. My kids sure were. I just want to get these microbiological cooties out.

3. I slide a few weeks back
and had a chicken tender. My stomach reminded me for MANY hours that it was not happy with me! ;) Reason enough to never do it again.

4. I accidentally ate some meat yesterday.
I went to a baby shower and the hostess had prepared some finger sandwiches. They all appeared to be egg salad. I ate one and then went back for another one. After biting into it and chewing, I realized it was chicken salad. Yuck!!!
