Did anybody see last night's No Reservations?
Bourdain went back to work the saute station at Les Halles for a day, to see if he still has his chops. It was funny in that respect, but also a fascinating springboard for him to show in detail how a professional kitchen works. GREAT episode. And there was the added bonus of Eric Ripert showing up (unannounced in the previews!) to work the grill station with him that night.

Try to catch the re-run if you missed it!

4. I usually record it on the DVR and watch it later...
...but on a whim decided to check the info for last night's episode. I was like, "Oh, I'm watching this one NOW!"

You'll enjoy it.

2. ha, it was hilarious!
I was exhausted by it.

And I have a fresh appreciation for those who prepare my meals at busy hours.

Line cooking is a young person's job, he admitted.

3. I loved Ripert at the very end of the night...
....who kept insisting, with complete seriousness and gravity, to Carlos (executive chef) that the grill station was a two-person job. :7

6. All I could think of during that episode was...
Gee, I'd like to see Bobby Flay try that!

7. I remember Bobby's first time on Iron Chef...
...he nearly electrocuted himself.

Maybe Food TV ought to have a special where the chefs staff an actual kitchen and run the stations. Paula Deen on the fryolater. Bobby as dishwasher. That would be cool.

Perfect!!!!

And Gaida as his assistant dishwasher. She can tend to plate scraping.
