Tuna Steaks tonight
We rarely have tuna steaks but I made some tonight.

Marinated them with olive oil, s&p and chopped garlic
Browned them in a pan and finished them in a 425' oven

Served them with macaroni salad (made with Hellmann's mayo, bits of roasted red pepper and diced onion) and a green salad on the side.

At first, husband thought they were super tender pork chops.

2. We don't eat them anymore
but they sure do taste good. We loved them blackened in a cast iron skillet covered with Paul Prudhomme's Red Fish Seasoning.

3. The closest thing in the fish world to meat ... I can see how your husband thought they were .......
....... pork chops.

We often do ours with a teriyaki sort of rub/marinade and then grill them.

4. That's very true!
And I never thought of it that way before but I remember the first time I ever had blackened tuna and didn't know what it was until someone told me. I thought it was some kind of meat, too.
