1. We've talked about them so very often lately
but I have to say again that it really is the greatest tool in my kitchen. It makes so many things easily possible that would otherwise be tons of work.

2. I grumble about the cleanup
but I'll be grating half a pound of Jarlsberg tomorrow to put into a cheese sauce. I use the mandoline for smaller jobs because the cleanup is a snap. I'll use the Cuisinart to reduce the PIA factor on bigger jobs, like grating a whole head of cabbage, more than 2 potatoes, or a big block of cheese.

3. I find it a snap
to clean up, really. And well worth the time and effort it saves me on the front end.

4. I don't have a dishwasher.
That might be the difference.

5. I have a little one but I don't use it.
It doesn't have the power to keep up with my cooking so I wash everything by hand.
