When you have turned off your standmixer, do not, I repeat, DO NOT keep your hand on the power lever while sticking your hand into the bowl.

2. I think so.
But it seems to be one of those injuries that may get worse before it gets better, ya know? I can be such a fucking klutz when I'm in a hurry. :eyes:

4. I immediately ran it under ice cold water
took a couple of painkillers and then took 1000 mg of ibuprofen, liberally administered orally a mixture of dark chocolate M&M's and plain potato chips. I'm a professional!

5. The M&M's should do the trick. Thank goodness you didn't use the regular ones.

It HAS to be dark choc for medicinal purposes!

6. Most definitely! Regular ones are strictly
for entertainment purposes, oh, and for children.

Now you know what I did to my hand. It's not too bad, just swollen and a little achy.

10. I think the moon must be transiting the House of Klutz
I lost a tray of goodies from Costco in the driveway yesterday, right on top of the part that's still soaked in degreaser.

O bla di.

8. Ouch! I do hope you are on the mend. I'm guessing you could turn out an amazing meal
with both arms tied behind your back...lol. Everything turned out beautifully and looks so invitingly delicious. I've certainly had days when I seem to walk into walls that I could swear weren't there a second before. Wish I could say I recover as gracefully as you did.

9. I'm coming late
to this, but I have found it helpful when I trash a body part to elevate it. It really does seem to reduce bruising. There was that time I ran into a darkened room to answer the phone, forgetting the metal edged space heater was in the middle of the room... Got a very scary rapidly swelling orange sized lump on my leg, so I hopped onto the bed and stuck the leg almost vertically up against the wall. Heaven only knows what was going on, but that did help a lot.

11. I hope you are all healed by now
If it is any consolation... I woke up hugging my puppy on the porch this evening...err... 5-6 hours ago.

I was so rested, no... content after such a wonderful day, it just felt right :D
