Cinnamon Griddle Cakes. Wow!
I'm spending the weekend with my son and his wife and two little boys, aged 2 and 4. I had promised the boys pancakes for breakfast and then discovered that there was no pancake syrup. I found this recipe and the icing is just the perfect topping. I used part whole wheat flour and made the icing thin enough that it was more like a glaze. It was really a hit with the family. The next time I make these I'll add some plumped raisins to the batter.

1. Yum. Is the recipe online?
Cinnamon anything sounds good to me right now. I've been thinking about playing with the chips in muffin recipes.

2. I forgot to add the link. Sorry about that. Here it is.

FWIW, I didn't use the corn sytup in the batter. They turned out just fine without it.

3. Those sound really good.
I'll have to try those for Bill some weekend morning. I bet they're wonderful. :D

I did make a half recipe of these this morning and they were really good. Bill felt they were much more hearty than regular waffles.

6. Those sound really good, too.
The 4 yo grandson has already asked me to make waffles the next time I visit and I'm sure they would all like those.

My DIL requested a pot of veggie soup, so I've got that simmering on the stove now. I hardly cook for myself at home anymore because it's just not much fun. So when I come out for visits I get to cook for an appreciative audience.

4. I printed this recipe out.
This ought to be a knockout brunch item. Plumped raisins would "ice the cake" on this special dish. Thanks! :hi:
