When you're looking for a restaurant's recipe
this is a great site!!

http://www.recipelink.com/copycat.html

You can type in the name of the dish or easier, click on the first letter of the restaurant name and it will list all the recipes they have for that restaurant.

Unfortunately, they don't have the LaMadeline Caesar dressing on file, but the do have a message board where you can request recipes. I haven't ever used that function, though I've read it and it looks like it gets traffic.

1. Thanks, just gave it to a caterer friend
I'd love to post the Hunan chicken recipe I duplicated, but I can't for the life of me remember the name of the restaurant.

4. General Mills used to have a recipe request phone #
This predates the internet. They had a cookbook library and you could request a certain recipe and they would find it for you.

They have recipe links on their website, www.generalmills.com

EXCEPT one old Rice-a-Roni one. I had one I clipped from their box a good 20 years ago and have since lost. I contacted them and they say they don't keep them after awhile. DUH!!! Like they have soooo many their website can't handle it?

Usually, the first place I check is the old SOAR site. I've been going there for 7 or 8 years. http://www.recipesource.com/ They don't always have the exact recipe I'm looking for, but it's the old, "Things I find while looking for other things." There's always something worth the time.

The reason I posted the other link is because often, I'll eat something at a restaurant (or hear about a dish from one) and wish I had the recipe. When there was a post here looking for a recipe for LeMadeline's Ceasar dressing, I checked the site and didn't find it, but thought what the heck, I'd link the site anyway.
