3. Yeah, it is...
That's why I keep posting when I know it's coming up. It's such a great machine and they're so expensive, this is such a great deal that I want everybody who can't afford the full price but might be able to afford the payments for 5 months to know about it. I can't help but think that one of these would help you out enormously (and other folks as well) by giving you all the nutrition from the whole foods along with the juice.

Hugs to you,

4. It must be raining money in your area - seriously . $400 for a QVC blender?

kitchen

Search for blenders. They start at around $20.

$400 for a blender is just plain nuts.

5. Until I got mine. I would have agreed with you
Honestly, there really is nothing near comparable except maybe the blend tech which is just as pricey. The vita mix goes well beyond your average smoothie making blender. For those like me with medical needs it has been a life saver. I do whole foods juicing and am able to make "raw" soups and my daily green smoothie. This machine will liquify apples and other hard fruits and veggies as well as make a fresh pina colada from raw fruit.

They are expensive. But there us really nothing else like them. I know that some lucky folks can find them at goodwill but it's like finding a needle in a hay stack. Even the old ones on e bay are spendy. They last forever though.

6. It's not just a blender
it's a whole-kitchen machine. You should check out a presentations on it, just so you have an idea. There are some videos here:
http://vitamix.com/

They've been around since the 1930's, come with a 5-7 year warranty, and can virtually replace many of the appliances in your kitchen. It can grind grains into flour. It can knead bread dough. It can make ice cream and sorbets. It makes whole-food smoothies so you don't have the waste that you have with a juicer. It can make hot soups. It can grind coffee beans. It can grind nuts into nut butters. It can make bread crumbs. It can grate Parmesan and Romano cheese as well as softer cheeses. It can process to smooth all kinds of foods that an ordinary blender can't. There's only one other machine that I know of that even comes close to doing what a VitaMix can do. They're just really remarkable kitchen machines.

It's not a machine for everyone - for many families it's over-kill and I understand that for many it's an expense that can't be justified. And there are those such as myself and the Empress who have found that the machine has added to the quality and possibilities of our lives and health in very beneficial ways. Mine's been worth every penny I spent on it. If you could compare where I was last year this time to where I am today, thanks to the VitaMix, ... well, that's why I'm so passionate about the machine and keep wanting to let people who might be interested in a machine know when a good deal is available.
