5. Lucinda.............
Darned you, girl - those just look TOO GOOD!

Grrrrrrrr......

Nothing like freshly baked chocolate chip cookies to help me feel sorry for myself!

Just kidding. Really. As I sit here with my blended chocolate & protein meal

6. Awww....darlin, I'm sorry. :( On the upside, chocolate, in any form, is joy.
:P
Except for maybe "carob". That stuff scares me.

I actually like some of the chocolate meal replacements a LOT. The old Chocolate Malt flavor from Slim Fast was a favorite, and I like
their Chocolate Royale now. I tried it with almond milk recently and loved it, but I don't seem able to handle the almond milk well. So I have to use Nutrish. It's chocolate and vitamins. Win/win for me.

I loved the determination that she had in the nutella chip post - futzing with the recipe to make them firm enough to work in cookies. I can sooo relate to that. lol

Hugs. ♥

Lucinda

7. Ah well .... I had some warm cocoa and that made up for it
in the here and now immediacy, anyway.

It's okay, I love to dream, remember and fantasize.

You sound like you're doing better than you have for while now, hope that's the case. I'm surprised you had problems with almond milk. What's Nutrish? Never heard of it before.

I used to be like that as a baker, too - try this then that then the other thing till I got it the way I wanted. I love when people post all the steps and trials they go through - it's really educational and I think gives people hope that they can improve with trying.

Good hearing from you, kid!

8. Some things are much better - and others seem to be worse.
I am really looking at specific triggers for both the joint pain and my diverticulosis. It's a big trial and error experiment. Unfortunately, one wrong move can knock me off my feet for several days. It's both interesting and annoying (from the guinea pig perspective)

I don't know if it was the almonds themselves or the additives in the milk that I had trouble with... I still haven't tried making almond milk from scratch. I AM going to try that before I write it off completely because I LOVED the taste.

Nutrish is skim milk with additional good bacteria to help digestion. It has it's own problems for me, but the positives outweigh the negatives, for now.

♥ Always good chatting with you!
