I'm not sure what to ask for but I was led here this morning...
I went to the bereavement group forum and the sadness was paralyzing. Part of my problem is that, as an empath, I feel every creature's pain so intensely. The detachment things eludes me in times such as these.

I lost my father very unexpectedly and suddenly six months ago; I just lost my beloved 11-year-old and 17-year-old cats within one month of one another. All of this has made the loss of my infant son 17 years ago seem as though it happened yesterday.

In addition to my life path simply getting more and more challenging over the years in spite of all the prayers, positivity, releasing, allowing, blah, blah, blah. And things in the outside world seem so dire (I need to limit my reading here at DU until something shifts).

I find myself without hope and I don't know how to BE here.

Any prayers or good vibes are most appreciated, and I truly and sincerely send out love to others in the midst of trying times.

1. ....
You are certainly going through a rough spell.

Perhaps it may take a little time to clear your head?

I've never had many closely related deaths so I'm not sure what that is like.

However beyond your feelings, and on the the topic of hope, is their a path ahead for you?

I'm going through a period of feeling useless, ashamed, and bitter. I haven't done anything shameful really.

2. Grief is a form of relationship, I believe.
Things simply won't remain static. Feelings reappear.

Your reaching out was a very wise thing to do, as is the decision to fast from some things that drain you. Yes, news and people's words/reactions can be too much to take at times.

I don't have a prayer in mind but visited this group on this morning at this time because I felt a need to be among praying people, as it were.

May peace be with you.
