I have a "hand me down" computer
How do I take the original owners name off off the machine, so everywhere I go it doesn't announce to the world the original user's name?
It is my neocon brother in law and don't want his name associated with the radical sites that I visit.

1. Maybe it'd be good for him
If not, re-install Windows. That's all you need to do.

2. If WinXP
right click the "My Computer" icon, select "properties".
Select the tab that says "computer name".
Change to whatever you like.

Cheers.
