HTML/Framer virus?
AVG picked this up a couple days ago. I googled and couldn't really understand what people were talking about (too advanced for me) but one post in some forum said to empty cache from IE. I don't normally use that but had for some stupid windows update question right before this thing showed up so it seemed to make sense. Emptied and I am pretty sure it was OK the last couple of scans although I was not here when they ran. It showed up again today.

Is this anything serious? Can someone explain in simple step-by-step instructions what (if anything) I need to do?

1. Do you have Malwarebytes?
I just did a swift search, and one tech said AVG doesn't remove Trojans.
I suggest you run Malwarebytes.

I just discovered that my Avira doesn't scan email! So, I'll be looking at another AV.

2. It looks like an old IE iframe exploit
that was patched long ago, but I'm not certain. As a "virus", it's not much, just a bit of code that injects an HTML iframe into a page that directs you to a site for a malware download.

That's your Firefox cache in the list, BTW. If you're going to empty a cache, that's the one you'll want to do.

It'd probably be best just to let AVG handle it.

5. It might not be there anymore
Use Windows Explorer and drill down to the location in the list. That'd be the quickest way to check, I think.
