Any Quicken users on DU?
I just went through Intuit's "forced" upgrade from Quicken 2000 Deluxe to Quicken 2005. This may be the last time I spend money on Intuit software. Intuit forced me to update to their latest version to maintain the ability to download quotes and transactions in investment accounts. When I upgraded I found they removed the ability to import QIF files into investment accounts. Intuit is the Microsoft of investment software. They know they swing the big club so therefore they beat you about the head with it.

1. We just had to do the same thing with Quickbooks.
I had the 2002 version and had to upgrade to 2005 in order to use their "Do-It-Yourself" payroll service. We only have three employees but still have to file all the reports, which the program generates.

I'm with you -- it bugs the hell out of me!

2. I tried MS Money but did not like it
My Dell PC came with MS Money loaded on it. I thought it was inferior to Quicken for tracking investments. Some disgruntled Quicken users have switched to Moneydance. I just shelled out the money for Turbotax and Quicken Deluxe so I will probably stick with it for a while.

3. We have all of our company books going back a good ten years
on Quickbooks and we use TurboTax for the corporation return, the state business return, and our personal return so, like you, WE'RE STUCK!
