Maybe someone can help me with a printer problem?
I have started getting an error msg: Incorrect Printer Cartridge. The two cartridges in there are fairly new and worked just fine til yesterday.
I've tried rebooting, but that doesn't help. Removed and replaced them, that didn't work either. Checked cables to make sure they are secure, no dice. It's an HP 1350 All-In-One.

Any suggestions? And thanks.

1. Do you have a software print utility
for doing maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and aligning print heads? I'd be trying everything on that first.

2. I don't even know

what a software print utility is. Do you know if software came with this/is that standard?
I recently moved, and have nothing here concerning this printer unfortunately. I don't even remember how old it is. But that red blinking light is annoying me.
I went to the HP help forum; this is the info they gave me. I cannot even find the menu/setup button on the front panel. Very frustrating.

Step three: Perform an print cartridge cleaning procedure
The product can perform an print cartridge cleaning procedure even after the alignment message has displayed. Follow these steps to perform an print cartridge cleaning procedure at the front panel:

1.
On the front panel, press the Menu or Setup button (depending on the model).
2.
Press the right arrow button until Maintenance or Tools is displayed, and then press the OK or Enter button (depending on the model).
3.
The Clean Print Cartridges message should display on the front panel. Press Enter or OK to begin the cartridge cleaning process.

A page will be printed during the cleaning process with all of the colors on it. If any of the colors (including black) are missing, faded, or streaked on the alignment page, there is a ink cartridge problem.

3. I don't have an HP printer at the moment

But here are a couple of suggestions to try. Printer utility programs usually are installed with the driver.

Check your Start Menu programs/C: Program Files for a folder called Hewlett Packard or similar.

Open the printer folder from Start Menu or control panel, right click the printer and select Properties. Have a dig around the tabs and buttons there.

*I've just had a look at the manual for the 1300 series. http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/bpu70267.pdf
It seems all the maintenance tools are found in HP Director, which should be installed from your CD.
Have a look at Page 32 onwards

4. You can try removing them and cleaning the contacts
with a damp cotton ball. If that doesn't work, try HP's online tech help. They helped me solve a personality problem my own printer has.

7. Mine favors mirror image printing
when it's been off for a while and I turn it back on. I just have to remember to set it to print normally before I waste any paper. HP has no idea why it would do this. I call it personality.

6. Thanks, all. I wound up having to change the cartridge out; it works now,
though I have no idea what happened to the old cartridge; it wasn't out of ink, just stopped working.
