Question: Will be 'sitting' for neighbor's 5 lb toy poodle
some days and weekends this summer. May want to/need to take her in car for short trips. Used to have 15? lb. Bedlington Terrier, + had 'seat belt' harness type thing for her. NOT easy to get her into, but basically worked.

Y'all familiar w useful seatbelt or other contraption for such a little one?

Thanks

E

1. I have
a strap that clips onto the dog's regular harness at one end while the other end fits into te vehicle's seat belt buckle/receptacle.

Works great.

Got it at a big box pet store several years back.

2. Thanks. She doesn't have harness, just collar and leash.
Will check at Petco, I think.

3. suggestions
princess pretty paws (9yrs old, 50#) uses a dog seatbelt in the back seat. it did take her some training to get used to it tho. or bring your house guest in a small crate seat belted in the back. i know you're a safe/good driver, but summa those teapartiers/republicans/neocons aren't. how does her human take her for trips now? and pictures please :)

4. Right, its the rethug drivers I'm concerned about!
Don't expect to take her far, but but but

Her human takes her on the human's lap, + they only go short distances I think. Concerns me 'cause family friend, 50+ years ago, driving w her little boston bull terrier, in accident + driver lost an eye as a result.

I did pick up seatbelt/harness at Petco. Hope I can get her into it!
