Full Moon October 4, 2009
J. McCaul

Full Moon
in Solar Sign: Aries 11°
October 4, 2009 @ 6:12 a.m. GMT
October 3, 2009 @ 10:12 p.m. PST -8

Sun is Libra, 11° 9'
Moon is Aries, 11° 9'

The Full Moon in Aries leaves us teetering on the edge of impulsive and thoughtful. We are drawn towards creating harmony and finding a sense of balance, while our emotions have us chomping on the bit to move past the same old song and dance of compromise. We may speak our hearts before our brains even have the time to think it through. Who can say at the time whether it was the right thing to do; simply that it felt like the right choice at the time. Watch out for the impulse to get angry quickly. Be prepared to take personal protection seriously. Bursts of anger happen at the snap of the fingers... we are all feeling edgy and tense. Be ready with a first aid kit of apologies to calm people around us. The first few weeks of October tends to be a time of making peace with old and new issues. But the Full Moon may not be conducive to this peace-making concept.

Mercury in Virgo turned direct the end of September. If you were like so many individuals last month, struggling with Mercury's retrograde motion (along with the plethora of other difficult transits) you are likely feeling the shift of energy now. Things are changed. Throughout September, there were multiple planets opposing Uranus in Pisces. Saturn's opposition mid-month set the stage of strangeness, and the other planets just seemed to add fuel. Mercury opposed Uranus on September 23 while retrograde, and today it is opposing Uranus again. Thankfully, Uranus is still retrograde, but the influence still spills over with unusual outcomes. Don't be surprised if the whole world seems to be a bit hyperactive for a few days. Mercury is sextile with Mars in Cancer. Another transit that lends itself to traits of impulsiveness. But it can also be one where we fly off the handle for the most nonsensical of reason. Being willing to laugh (at ourselves) can help diffuse some of the freakishness of it all. Mercury is conjunct to Saturn, and hopefully, this can give us some stability as long as we temper our critique of everyone else around us. Add in the fact that Saturn, Mars and Uranus are all forming Wedge patterns with Mercury, and we find a sense of connectivity with others around us. Wedge pattern aspects blend the positive and the challenges together, helping us to make better use of the influences, if we chose to do so.

I was just saying in a meeting that it feels good to be able to get back to our regular business again finally, after a crazy September. This was before I read your post.
