Happy Samhain, everyone!
Hope you get lots of candy and visits from the Other World (benevolent ones, that is!) on this most hallowed eve. :hi:

2. Very nice!
The old high school friend on my Facebook page who is Wiccan said the same. Good stuff! I wouldn't mind benevolent visits at all.

4. Thank you MorningGlow :)
And a Blessed Samhain to you and yours as well. :)
My circle had the most wonderful evening celebrating Samhain.
We had to have it before tonight as many have little kids they needed to be with.
However it was wonderful and tons of fun.
One of the ladies brought a giant stuffed pumpkin, full of wild and brown rice, apples and pears, sausage and garlic and pepper with a little Cinnamon and nutmeg :) Sounded strange to me but it was delicious :)
The costumes were very creative and the house is decorated to the rafters. :)
We smudged and then cast a circle...drank the Waters of Sleep and we had the Dumb Feast after we invited all our dearly departed to join us.
We did not forget to place the first dish of food outside the door for the spirits. They must have liked it because it was empty by morning.
We played music and danced until around 1 am and learned a couple of new chants to boot.
We had to close the circle before everyone had left because as we all know, it is dangerous to leave a circle not closed.
And then we held hands in the circle and looked into each others eyes and we chanted the Remember Me chant.

"All I ask of you..
is forever to remember me...
as loving you."

By the end of the chant, many had tears in their eyes.

It was a beautiful evening, full of family and friends.
I hope you all have a wonderful Samhain as well.

5. Sounds wonderful!
What a great circle. You are very fortunate. Makes me miss being part of a coven (not the one I left, though! yikes! :P )

7. "Chant for Samhain"
A year of beauty. A year of plenty.
A year of planting. A year of harvest.
A year of forests. A year of healing.
A year of vision. A year of passion.
A year of rebirth.

This year may we renew the earth.
This year may we renew the earth.

Let it begin with each step we take.
And let it begin with each change we make.
And let it begin with each chain we break.
And let it begin every time we awake.

10. Love the picture
Thank you for the blessing, and the same to you, MG.

I heard from my brother this afternoon -- the first time since he crossed over. It was such a comfort and blessing to hear from him.

Unfortunately, no trick or treaters tonight -- it rained for the better part of the early evening, and I think most of the parents around here just gave up and took their kids to the mall (the shops are giving out candy). Oh well, lots of candy left over.

Blessings to you all.

12. Still Samhain here...blessings to all!

Samhain Blessings
By WinterSky

Hail to our God and Goddess!

We send you blessings along with a hug,
May this special night be filled with love.

We welcome the Spirits, all Ancestors this night,
As we celebrate surrounded by candle light.

We share of the Cauldron, on this special night,
As the circle is cast and we start the Great Rite!

Remember the sad times and your blessings too,
As the Wheel ever turns, make it sacred to you!

Have a Wonderful Samhain everyone!
As we open the circle, our work is now done.

Blessed Be!
