3. Welcome!!!

Don't feel bad; there are groups at DU I no doubt still haven't discovered, and I've been here quite a few years.

Thanks for stopping by. I know we will all benefit from your presence and your sharings, when you are led to do so. No pressure. ;)

(BTW, we get pissed off here, too!)

4. This is happening nonstop lately....

I just made a comment above about getting "pissed off" (referring to your DU/GD post)..lol...and I just got this in email.

I felt I should share. ;)

I tried to copy and paste an excerpt but wasn't able. It's a short passage about anger from Margaret Wheatly, with a quote from Dzigar Kongtrul, a Buddhist teacher.

10. I love Meg Wheatley....
be sure to check out her website...
http://www.margaretwheatley.com/

I first learned of her while taking a psychology of leadership class
where I read her book entitled "Leadership and the New Science",
in which she explores leadership in terms of quantum physics,
self-organizing systems, and chaos theory.

Fascinating stuff.

7. Welcome Sage
Thank you for your post in GD.

There are times that we need to venture out and speak our truth to the general population, as I did a couple of weeks ago. And those who did not like what I offered spoke out. It is up to each of us to decide what path to follow. But at some point, we will all get home.

17. Hi Sage!
Cat from Seattle here. I read your amazing post from the Elders and got shivers. I want to thank you for coming here and onegrassroot for inviting you.

And this would be a much better and safer place to come to post those things. GD will eat you alive if you try to sound at the very least "woo-woo" when all of us here already are, lol.

I used to think loving one's enemies was hard, but recently it has gotten much harder. I am struggling with this and am wondering even what "loving" means. Does one go and hug the person who harmed you? Or is "loving" OK from a distance? I am working on forgiveness because I think this is the beginning. While I understand my own anger is mostly only hurting me, it is still hard to get rid of, even in the most "selfish" sense. I wonder what dark force within me keeps me hanging on to it and how to address it.

Tell your Elder friend many of us like me, whom she does not even know exists, are listening and many of us are eager to hear more.

Love,
Cat in Seattle

19. Hey Cat!
very surprising I didn't get eaten alive, maybe those that read it needed too. I remember when the whole "BLow up the moon" thing was happening, I sure got my licks in then, lol! But then I had no idea that this forum was here!

Well I certainly hope we don't have to go up and hug our enemies, mine would probably stab me in the back while I was not looking, lol!

Loving is not forgiveness it is standing in the center being the sacred witness.Unconditional love.
The lion unconditionally loves his prey. It allows us to accept what is, right?
I am having a hard time with it too, I should have recorded the conversation, because now I try to think of it and it is like holding water.

I do know that if and I mean if, we as a collective mind, resisted the temptation of fear or anger or hate, the energy will shift to that 5th dimension, where we can be and live on unconditional love. At least that is what Grandmother reminded me this morning.

I will see Grandmother soon, Chief Arvel Looking Horse has called for prayer gatherings not only across the States but around the world in June, forgive me I have to look up the date, so I know I will be seeing her around then.

35. Thank you so much for the warmth
of your welcome!
I started coming to DU in 2003, I didn't register here until one day I read a post on the Greatest page by Nance, I hit my in my belly and I had to respond to her, it was just beautifully written!

Anyway, I figured it couldn't hurt to keep posting, however, some of the things I posted just flopped, lol! If I had known about this forum, I would have posted my Elder Grandmother's advice here, maybe that is what was needed over there, ?.

As Grandmother would say, "You've lit the hearth fire, let who comes be of good heart and speak with clear truth"

I lost my internet yesterday afternoon, so I couldn't reply as the day went on and now there is too many to reply to each individual, so thank you everyone of you!
