The coming FIXED GRAND SQUARE
A Grand Square in the Fixed signs has begun, and will continue for some months to come. This article explains how it might affect you personally, but I also believe that it represents much of what is happening regarding the Plame investigation.

http://www.friendsofastrology.org/MolyArticles/mars-in-taurus.html

"The second and third oppositions are part of the Grand Fixed Cross, and will occur on December 4 (Mars retrograde) and January 15 (Mars direct). During the months of December and January you Scorpios will be under fire, especially those of you born between October 29 and November 6. During this two-month period relationship issues will require exceptional patience and effort on your part. With Jupiter in your sign you will try to give more of yourself and your time, but no matter how much you give you will still be reproached for what is not given. Use Jupiter’s more powerful soothing nature to counter-act the attacks of Mars. Remember that this, too, will pass!
The planet Neptune is now in the middle of its seven-year transit of Aquarius, and transit Mars in Taurus will be forming a difficult square aspect with this planet."
<snip>
"While all the Fixed Signs are tied into this Grand Cross, it is the Taurus natives who will bear the brunt of this stressful energy. Mars is an active planet, and with so many squares lasting over the entire transit, Taurus natives are likely to find themselves working non-stop. With a Grand Cross energized by transit Mars Taureans will find things are an unending circle of problems and issues to be resolved. As soon as one thing is settled, another will rise to take its place. For all Taureans this will be a difficult transit, and with Mars activating you with stress from all quarters you may find it difficult to find some “down time” to give yourself a chance to rest! While you Taurus natives have exceptional stamina, this transit of Mars may test your limits of endurance. Taurus is often noted for being stubborn and inflexible, and Mars may be just what is needed to get you moving! Of course, once Mars is in motion it will keep you going and going!!

"The pattern of a Grand Cross is a set of two oppositions forming squares with each other. The key to working with this energy will be to pace yourself, and not allow any one “leg” of the Cross to become a dominant issue. With Saturn involved follow your routines and plans and don’t get drawn into working frantically. With Neptune involved make sure you have a clear picture of the goals and objectives of your efforts. With Jupiter involved avoid excesses of all kinds. By constructively tapping into this exceptionally powerful energy you may feel the stress, but the achievements will be also be extraordinary!

For those of you Cardinal and Mutable signs who are not directly participating in this Grand Fixed Cross, you are likely to have some wonderful things in store! What may be a major problem for a Fixed sign may bring an opportunity to you!! While Mars is in Taurus from July 28, 2005 to February 17, 2006 the planetary patterns will be exceptionally powerful. And no matter what your sign, the key will be learning how you can personally tap into this energy and produce positive results."

The Grand Square will be activated next week with the Sun in Scorpio squaring Saturn in Leo, closely folowed by the Sun Squaring Neptune in Aquarius and Mars in Taurus, all close to or on the mid-points of each sign. This is highly significant, and I would like to discuss what others think this will mean. Personally, I think a few someones very close to Bush will be going to jail....

What do you think???

1. As a Taurus, I'm going to choose to believe other astro factors
are going to keep me from going insane during this period. I've had enough of being tormented by the cosmos, thanks.

14. You, too, Desertrose.
I like your handle, by the by.

If Dick Fucking Cheney can do it, (triumph over the celestial conspiracy to fry him, that is) then so can I. Goddamnit. I mean, have you seen Cheney's astological forecasts lately? Just on the tiny, superficial astro.com assesment, the major transits for him right now include the term "29 year low." But does he let that stop him? Fuck, no! So, bring on the Grand Square! I can take it.

15. My son is also a Taurus.....
Mars is an active planet, and with so many squares lasting over the entire transit, Taurus natives are likely to find themselves working non-stop.

and I can vouch for this tendency in his life at the moment!

Work is all that he does now - I kinda worry about him not taking time to rest or to do other things in life - but OTOH he seems to be loving it.

I'll keep my (Mother's) eye on him more closely in this period.....

2. CNN's John Roberts says Bush is in a box.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=104&topic_id=5191426&mesg_id=5191426

Poor Lil George has gotten himself in a BOX...of his own making.

"Appearing opposite Wolf Blitzer and Candy Crowley, he just elegantly summarized the way that the President is boxed in on every one of these issues. To summarize, here's what he told Wolf, while Candy just simmered silently:

* Bush can't blame the Democrats for Meirs' failed nomination, because the Democrats held their fire and let the Republicans doom Bush's pick.

* Bush can't blame God for the hurricanes he was slow to respond to.

* Bush can't blame anyone but himself for the Iraq War. It's his war, his alone, and he has to take responsibility for it.

* Bush can't blame Democrats for the imminent indictments of his senior staff, since Patrick Fitzgerald is not a partisan "Independent Counsel" as Ken Starr clearly was, and since the CIA pursued the investigation, not the Democrats.

* Bush can't blame Patrick Fitzgerald, since he's on the record having praised him, and since he was appointed by Bush loyalist John Ashcroft*.

John King ended this rather perfect list by saying, "The President is on his own on almost every political level now, he has completely boxed himself in, and he has nobody to blame but himself."

* DUer tk2kewl offers one minor correction for John King: Deputy AG Comney appointed Fitz after Ashcroft recused himself from doing so."

Karma's knocking on the door, George. It's for you.

4. Kef was right ...
... all through the first 4 years, Kef kept saying "he'll overstep", "the administration will get sloppy", "they'll cross themselves", "they'll over reach", etc etc ... and sure as heck, here it is, with a bright red bow, on our doorstep.

Thanks for the insight, Kef ... you always had a keener feel for them than the rest of us ... O8)

10. Am I looking forward to this
:eyes:

Transiting Saturn is conjunct my natal Venus in Leo in the 5th, T Mars (conjunct natal North Node) and T Jupiter (conjunct natal Neptune) will be squaring it (from the 1st and 7th) and T Neptune will be opposing it from my 11th.

Natally, I have Venus in 5th square Neptune in 7th, Venus rules 2nd and 7th, and Neptune rules 12th.

I'm no expert on this, but I believe it pertains to a lot of lessons surrounding love, partnership and unconcious habits/ingrained patterns that are in need of repair, and this will be the time to do it. I expect it to be a very difficult year.
