Tecumseh's Curse:
Air Force One Repaired As Bush Visits Ill.

BELLEVILLE, Ill. -- Air Force One was discovered to have a faulty hydraulic valve while President Bush was here for a speech on Wednesday, but the problem was fixed in time for his return to Washington.

The problem with a hydraulic valve was discovered and repaired during the nearly three hours the president spent in southern Illinois, White House press secretary Scott McClellan said.

This is the second time dimson's plane has had trouble -- I believe last time, they flew another plane in.

the by now-famous Tecumseh's Curse. I won't go into the details of how the curse came about. It's readily available on the net, if anyone is interested.

The curse gained notoriety when people noticed that starting in 1860, every president who was elected in a year 20 years apart, always died in office or was assassinated.

This trend went on for 140 years, until Ronald Reagan's 1st term in 1980. There was an assassination attempt on his life on March 30, 1981. The attempt was unsuccessful, and Reagan survived. His wounds were much greater than the media let on, and for a while it was touch and go.

So the curse seems to have ended with Reagan, although people have said that because of his Alzheimer's, he really did "die" a slow and gradual death. Others say that if it were not for modern medicine, Reagan would surely have died.

So what about Bush? Is the curse going to "skip" a president and wreak its revenge on him? Not if my calculations are correct. There's an interesting point about which term these presidents died in office. It seems to alternate between the first and second terms*:

1840 William H. Harrison, died in 1841 (1st term)

1860 Abraham Lincoln, died in 1865 (2nd term)

1880 James Garfield, died in 1881 (1st term)

1900 William McKinley, died in 1901 (2nd term)

1920 Warren G. Harding, died in 1923 (1st term)

1940 Franklin D. Roosevelt, died in 1945 (2nd term)

1960 John F. Kennedy, died in 1963 (1st term)

1980 Ronald Reagan, died in 2004 (assassination attempt in 1st term)

2000 George Bush (currently "serving" 2nd term)

*Jim Shawvan, who is an outstanding astrologer, has gone over this.

It seems like Bush had a greater likelihood of an assassination in his 1st term, if there's any kind of a pattern here. But I've read an overwhelming number of predictions which say that he'll a) be assassinated b) die in office of unknown causes c) Cheney will die in office d) Bush Father will die.

2. CLISS. CLISS - OY CLISS
I wrote the words Tecumseh's Curse so that the BIG A word would not
be used

I wrote a whole thing about asking everyone not to use the BIG A word
because it draws the eyes and ears of those who we would not want to draw the eyes and ears of.

Fukrisakes.

:)

:hi:

4. LOL- was a great history of the curse, anyway.. dont want you to think
I'm being silly...it's too late now anyway...betcha we sure have their attention...

I just prefer names like Darth Vader, Dimson, and tecumseh's curse.

There used to be game shows where you had to answer questions without using a certain word and the buzzer would go off if you used the word.

Just call me the buzzer. :)

I was once in an elevator with one of those fib guys, just talking casually, and when the elevator door opened and other people came in, he motioned" no talking" ....... :) ...must have been catching.
