Local Sidereal Time
This refers to free software available to figure it out. Does anyone know how I could find same? I had not heard of that term, but I don't have any particular knowledge about astrology. What interests me is this--

"LOCAL SIDEREAL TIME (LST): Local sidereal time is an Astronomy term, referring to how the planet is oriented relative to the position of the stars. Twice a year it will match clock time, otherwise it's different, changing by 6 minutes a day. Fortunately. it is easy to find free software to calculate it out for you on the internet. Why do parapsychologists care about LST? Because if you look at studies done around 18:00-19:00 hours local sidereal time (LST) ESP hit rates drop to zero. However, if you look at around 13:30 hours LST, there is a 400% increase in ESP hit rate. Moreover, this appears to be the most consistent finding across over two decades of research by every experimenter in every laboratory around the world. It is consistent. Some have speculated that the effect has to do with how we are positioned on Earth relative to the galactic core. When most of the Milkyway Galaxy is hidden below the horizon, ESP peaks. On the other hand, when the galactic center is overhead, the ESP hit rates drop to zero."

I'd love to see how the galactic center location affects distance treatments, if at all.

2. think of it this way
Suppose there is a moon overhead. We would KNOW it, because we can see it (at least on a clear night). It can happen any time of the day or night, but it does change in a very regular pattern.

I'd like to know when the galactic center is overhead. I can't see it, and I have no idea how to figure it out. Supposedly there is some software that computes this. I assume some astrology software is available free, based on that website.

Now apparently when the galactic center is rising, psychic things are at a peak, but when it is overhead, zero. I gather that it is never quite overhead in the northern hemisphere, but I could be wrong about that.

If anyone knows where I could find any free software with this info I would be appreciative. Or, if anyone has any particular knowledge about the galactic center and psychic ability, I would like to know that too.

I'm just wondering what this has to do with distance testing and treatment, if anything.

14. I wrote about the galactic center being connected
to the world tree, which is how we "travel" between worlds:

www.cosmicdimension.com

Just what I gathered mythically. I wasn't aware of this research, but it sure makes sense!

18. DH says Pegasus is 0minutes0seconds on the Galactic quadrant
Pegasus was arbitrarily set when the astronomers laid out the sky's coordinates much like we use Greenwich Mean Time as an arbitrary start of time keeping

don't know if that helps at all

3. I've found LST calculators on the net
Unfortunately, I'm too busy with holidays and product releases at work to look for info for you right now. I remember that I found calculators by googling something like: "local sidereal time" Psi calculator.

The term "psi" in there helps lead to lots of info about the LST-psi connection and away from astronomy-only sites, although those may also have the calculators. There's a guy named James Spottiswode or something like that who was the first to observe the connection. If that is not the correct spelling of his name, you'll find it pretty quickly from googling: "local sidereal time" psi.

I remember finding one calculator that printed out a monthly calendar showing the optimal time (1330 hours LST) for each day for a month for a particular location. It had some built-in locations for a few cities but you could also enter a longitude (and maybe latitude, I don't remember for sure if that has any effect on the calculation. I think it's just longitude) to do the calculations. During November, the optimal time where I am was around 9 a.m. and getting earlier by about 4 minutes per day.

15. Not yet.
Holidays mostly done but not product releases. We have an official company shutdown between Christmas and New Years, but I'm working anyway, on a product release. This is the first time I've been to this forum in almost a week.

Anyway, the first item I get in a google of: "local sidereal time" psi
is this:
"Local sidereal time - tools for PSI research"
http://oase.uci.kun.nl/~owc/lst/

That page has links to a couple calculators. One shows current sidereal time and the time of the next 13:30. Also has a pseudo-alarm clock to alert you at the next time.

Another link from that page goes to the calculator that shows a month of the optimal daily times.

The guy's name who first observed the sidereal time - psi connection is James Spottiswoode.

I hope to join this discussion more fully in another week or two. This interests me. If you do the googles I suggested, they'll lead you to lots of interesting sites and interesting stuff.

4. You could probably use any astro program
set it for the current time, day, month, year, and locale and just look for 26 Sagg and change on the angles.

Or am I missing something here?

If one is not an astrologer? The video Rumpel posted has got me interested in this now.

16. the symbol for Sagg is an arrow with a line through it.
Edited on Thu Dec-28-06 07:20 PM by stellanoir
Twenty-six is represented by 26.

Sorry, but it ain't rocket science though I know charts can be overwhelming to some.

If I'm understanding this theory correctly, you want to see 26 and change at 6 o'clock on the wheel.

That'll vary from month to month.

Many of us have attributed this for years to just too much psychic static during the daytime hours when people are going about their business.

This alterate theory is worthy of consideration though.

I'm pondering it and feel it could be true.

8. What does this mean?
Psychic ability appears to increases some 400% from the average around 13.5h Local Sidereal Time (LST).

What time is that? sheesh! I want some esp.

9. when the stars rise
It is not exactly a 24 hour clock, so it is apparently just a few minutes earlier every day. As I post at 8am central time, the clock I downloaded says 14:29, so the best time was approximately an hour ago. Anyway, that is the way I see it. In a few hours though, the ZERO time for esp comes. My main idea was to just track it and figure out if distance energetic treatments work better away from the ZERO time. Still, I think there may not be an actual zero time, because hopefully the galactic center is not directly above us, even at the worst time--much like in the winter the sun at noon is still sort of low on the horizon.

19. My offhand guess
would be that any kind of energy work would be enhanced. If you do track it, be sure to let us know what you find.

This calculator > http://oase.uci.kun.nl/~owc/lst/1/index3.html < seems to indicate, given the longitude 97.74W, 13:30 is due tomorrow at 18:24 tomorrow.

User defined longitude (97.74W)
local date28-12-2006
local time20:20:14
next local starttime18:25:47 (tomorrow)
local sidereal time15:20:49
The next local starttime states the next time-event where the local sidereal time is 13.30 hrs. The analog clock will not work on some operating systems with particular browsers. Select your country/city above and the times will be adjusted automatically. The local sidereal time is shown in red between 13.30 and 14.30 hrs.

Am I reading that correctly? And I haven't read any where. How often does this occur?

21. clock
This is the one that I downloaded

http://www.radiosky.com/sidclockdownload.html

Then, after operational, I clicked on it and put my longitude. The confusing thing about sidereal clocks is that there aren't twenty four different zones. Essentially there is a different clock time for each longitude. That makes it more accurate for each place, however. There is no problem with something like "easternmost part of the central time zone" with regard to figuring out when the sun is highest in the sky.

Anyway, I am guessing that the time could make a difference on doing distance yes/no, particularly for people that I have not personally met. I think the radionics program of treating would go on and power through whatever the sidereal time was. A few treatments are sort of homeopathic, though, and have to be repeated. Maybe they would last longer if they were done at the peak time. I'm not sure I will have enough data to do anything approaching anything scientific on this. It is just nice to know.

In a different way. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

You don't have to do scientfic! pshaw!

I did the tuberculim on paper. Pretty sure it worked.

Sidreal time is so much more. I cannot wait for 6:30 pm tonight. I'm on it.
No one needs healing more than I do.

LOL. One of us programmed our sidereal clock wrong. I am getting the 13:00 optimal time frame as being about twelve hours away from 6:30 pm (more like very early in the morning). When I have time I will check the longitude that I input and check other references.
