Rick DiClemente's Starself Astrology Newsletter for January
HAPPY NEW YEAR - May it be a great one!

Welcome to Capricorn - What Makes Them Tick?

Dec 22-Jan 19 -The tenth sign of the Zodiac, symbolized by the goat, reflects man's urge to climb to the top. For nine stages previous, the soul aspires to perfect self and relation-ships. Now, in this winter sign, social status and position is attained. Ever conscious and dutiful to their responsibilities, this serious sign voluntarily colors within the lines. Capricorn is the most dependable sign of the Zodiac. Capricorn energies can stabilize an otherwise shaky chart. On the other hand, too much soberness and caution can lead to one becoming morose. A healthy balance is
sought.

How does the USA's chart look for 2007?

Of course no one knows for sure what exact time the United States was born. There is much speculation on this topic and I use the birth time of 2:17am in Philadelphia on 7/4/1776. Compared to all the charts I’ve seen for the USA, this chart seems to fit the “personality” and history of this country the best.

Before I get to it, it must be mentioned that Pluto is sitting eerily quiet in late Sagittarius, just before it enters Capricorn in January of 2008. At that time, it will come into opposition to the USA’s Sun in Cancer and enter the eighth house. This will be critical and long-lasting. There will be TONS written about Pluto then and what it promises as 2007 comes to an end.

March 3rd Eclipse 14° Pisces The eclipse is accompanied by Uranus on the cusp of the 11th house. This will cause the US to distance itself from world organizations, or vice-versa.

March 20, Mars Crosses the Moon This will mark a time when the US will stand tall and defend its position on the global stage.

May 12, Mars Squares Pluto This combination will likely bring bravado and an interchange of threats with other countries over the use of nuclear power.

Aug. 28th Eclipse 4° Pisces This will square the natal ascendant as well as Uranus. It will make us rethink our course of action as we will feel the ramifications at home of our foreign policies.

Sept. 8-20 marks a very dangerous period. Mars returns to its natal position and opposes transiting Pluto in the 7th house of “known enemies.” The US will take a major military initiative and it won’t be pretty.

9/11 Eclipse! Needless to point out how sensitive that date is. The lunation is at 18° Virgo and is exactly on the USA’s Neptune in Virgo in the fifth. Eclipses on Neptune ALWAYS bring about scandals. Our secrets will come to light.

Nov. 15, Mars Stops and Goes Retrograde on the USA’s Sun! This will leave us not knowing if we are coming or going. “Damned if you do and damned if you don’t” is the theme here. We will have the opportunity to rethink some of our actions.

Neptune and Saturn will continue to oppose each other directly on the USA’s Moon in Aquarius. The world will be waiting for us to take the lead once again with a cool head. After this finishes in late June, we will be sobored - hopefully with not too bad of a hangover.

Fortunately, Jupiter will have an extended stay in the 7th house, buying us some more time with our international affairs. In Sept., when Saturn enters Virgo, I’m afaid the buck will stop exactly where it is supposed to, and hopefully...

...we will have eased our relationships with those who oppose us, or else we await Pluto in opposition in January ‘08...

2007 is very much a year where we need to get to work and sober up (Saturn opposite Neptune and into Virgo) in preparation for everything hitting the fan in 2008.

The continuing Jupiter square to Uranus through October will make us impatient and once again spur us to an over-reliance on technological panaceas.

Hi Stella

Happy New Year to you too. I don't know why but I typed in a long reply to this earlier today, and posted it, and it got lost somehow! Arg.
Anyhow, thank you for the lead on that chart especially with the birth time.

8. Your very welcome rick.
Yup I saw that response but didn't want to kick that thread again since I had promised on it to progress and explain that chart and defered to bianca, then my astro program picked up a glich so I sort of flaked.

I agree about taking into account various charts for some things.

Businesses are often like that with charts for conceptualizing a name, establishing bank accounts, signing a lease, incorporation, first accounts receivable transaction, etc.

I know some who have cast various charts for different rituals during lengthy wedding ceremonies as well other than the "I now pronounce you. . ." decree, the smooch, or the signing of the marriage contract.

Like with relationship charts wherein one can consider the synastry, the composite chart, the chart of the first encounter it's all so-o-o interesting.

Heck. . .There are astrologers who'll do a chart for when the ambilical cord is cut. There are those who do conceptional astrology charts as well but I have enough "twouble" getting birth times as it is so I'm not too anxious to go there. :)

Still in the work I've done with multiple charts, it's funny how a common theme often is recognizable within many charts with individual distinctions as well.

Lots of fun for Uranian types. eh. . .?
