Having FUN with Mercury Retrograde!
OK, what if we list our funny, absurd, or even painful chaotic experiences we've had during Mercury Retrograde periods. Twood be funny. We can even rate them from 1 to 10, 10 being the most outrageous. I have a few stories to add but am tiring for the evening. Would love to hear your crazy stories.

Signed,

Edargorter Yrucrem

1. I did not "listen" to the Universe in a parking lot last week
All of the parking spaces were taken, so I kept driving around looking for a space. As it turned out, the store I was going to did not have what I came for, and I ended up getting what I needed at a different store.

2. I've been losing stuff (alot)
And it has been mainly stuff like camera batteries, and a camera charger cord, as well as some mini dv tapes. I found the batteries a day later after freaking out. I had to buy a new charger cord, but that wasn't a big deal. And I've also lost store receipts and other kinds of organizational types of stuff. I mean, stuff that I usually hang onto. I think the retrograde for me is being exaspergated by visiting family during late feb for various birthdays and plays that I must attend.
Even so, I would say that the retrograde is making itself known by a certain scattered energy that is resulting in misplaced stuff. I've had a few problems while driving as well, but nothing serious. Although I did drive by a serious accident today, with a flipped over car. And that freaked me out plenty, and I tried to send energy. I hope that other people's retrograde experiences have been less chaotic than mine.

3. My pc
has been a little berzerk. Odd, random things.
At work I pissed off a couple of people without meaning to. Keeping my mouth shut as much as possible.
Last May or June during a retrograde, I made a terrible mess of a personal relationship. It was my mouth again, and failure to realize there was a retro and messages might tend to be jumbled. That one had long term consequences.

Yesterday was rather frustrating. I'm noticing a lot that other people who pay no attention to retrogrades are living it out all the same.

4. file this in the dumb dumb dumb Merc retro file. . .
I was over a friend's house and had a bunch of stuff to carry from the car to the house. So I locked the car doors with the remote on my key chain while I was still in the car and picked up the bags I needed to carry in. Later when I was leaving his house I couldn't find my key chain ANYWHERE. Forunately I carry a spare key in my purse but I felt like an idiot.

I drove home feeling like a total space shot. Then the next morning I went out to the car and my keys were on the driver's seat but I had been wearing a thick coat so I didn't feel them under my butt the night before. Unlike the Princess and the Pea. . . the space shot and the key.

The next day I called my friend I had been visiting so he wouldn't be looking for my keys any longer and I apologized.
He said "Don't worry about it. I once lost my keys and later found them in the freezer." LOL

5. My best one, (worst one)
My laptop needed repair and I HAD to mail it to Dell in Houston. I couldn't be home when AIRBORNE stopped to pick it up - so I told my 14-yr-old son to give it to him. He gave it to the POSTMAN, not the AIRBORNE man. It had all of my stuff, my complete Astrology clientele, etc. etc. It was my fault for not communicating clearly. I finally got the laptop back, repaired, SEVENTEEN days later.

Also, I do find that the only "good" thing that happens when Mercury is Rx is that long-standing issues often work out. I lost a much loved executive chair in a flood a few years ago as well as a rare Sony alarm-clock radio. This recent Rx period, I found replacements for both.

6. Lots and lots over the years; most recently...
The day this current Merc Ret started, I went to the instant oil change--not so much for an oil change, although it was due, but more because I REAAAALLLYYY needed wipers and it was the day before "the big storm" was supposed to hit.

When I saw the oil delivery truck backed in and blocking two of the bays, I figured I could wait it out. I waited a loooong time. My "little voice" said to give it up and try another time, but did I listen? NoooOOOooo...

Finally pulled into the garage, and I recognized only ONE out of the several guys working (this particular instant oil change place is usually very good and I usually like the people there). These new, rather troglodytish folks alarmed me--one guy couldn't figure out how to put on the wipers (they snap on), and the guy putting my info into the computer was rude and obnoxious to his coworkers (not to me though)--VERY bad energy emanating from him. Did I listen to the little voice then? NooooOOoooo...

Got the wipers on (the one guy I knew had to do it for the clueless guy) and the oil changed. (Aside: Meanwhile, in the bay in front of me, a military guy getting the oil changed in a "company" SUV found out the hard way that the company credit card he was going to use had been cancelled, and he was frantically ranting into his Borg phone earpiece. More Merc!)

Anyway, ever since, my oil pressure gauge has been fluctuating while my engine is cool/just warming up. It's never done that before. It doesn't dip alarmingly low or anything, but it does wiggle around, which bugs me because it used to just shoot up to the top and stay there like a good gauge.

I took it back the same day and another troglodyte said it was because it was cold out. Ummm...no. Then he said my sensor was dying. Ummm...and that just HAPPENED to coincide with the very day I got my oil changed? He checked the oil level and I hadn't lost any. He swore they put on the right oil filter. My car is not acting unusual in any other way (thank the gods and the mojo bag hanging from the rearview mirror). I'm debating whether to take it to a mechanic or take it back there when the decent manager is working...hm...maybe after Merc goes direct...

7. I love this Mercury Rx - it's a 10
First you have to understand that I have Mercury in Gemini in the 12th house. So I'm always Mercury Rx.

This Merc Rx began with my dream. So I decided to stop worrying (I've moved out with my Mom when my dad died and I haven't really worked since October. My funds are running out and I've had to actually network! But still few clients, except for my old ones back in RI) I decided to go into my right brain and see what would happen. My instincts told me to grab all my crystals, which I love but terribly neglect, and work with them. so everyday I did. I got some amazing images to work with. Then I was reading a fantasy book and days later it had the same images as in my visions.

Then I met a new friend and we did an exchange - me imagery work and astrology while she put me on this quantum machine EPFX/QXCI/SCIO - Quantum Xrroid Consciousness Interface - and worked on me. I'm going back tomorrow for another session. That was cool. Then someone else I just met _- (you have to understand I've been basically a hermit for the past 12 years in RI) got me free passes to a Spa expo of all things to go see this thing called a BioMat, which is an infra-red, negative ion, amethyst filled (my visions were about amethysts) that feels wonderful when you lay on it for 1/2 hour. I can't afford it but my massage therapist sister can so I'll get to use it when she massages me - until I can afford the $1600.

Then, my sister and daughter came out for a visit for my mom's 82nd birthday. And we went to see Circe de Soliel's Le Reve! I've always wanted to see them - this was my first time! I loved it. I want to die right now and get reborn with an athlete's body and be one of them! It was the most fun thing I've done in many years. It also gave me the idea to do a phone class on dreams.

What else? Oh, did I say that i had to move to Las Vegas of all places to help my mom? Well, my inner gambler sucks - I was a riverboat gambler in another lifetime ( a few times) and the last time i got killed over gambling). anyway, my sister had some essential oils for manifesting your intentions, so we all doused ourselves in it. My mom (82 and now a widow) is in a play at one of the Casino's and so we went to see her on Saturday night. While we waited, we gambled. And for the first time, I had an easy time picking a slot machine and i won. Not alot but some.

Oh, and I just got a hugh fee taken away from something I was asked to do and couldn't because of the fee.

Ta-Ta!! Oh yes, and on a show on tv they quoted something that's been in a script of mine for 15 years. so I'm taking it that the script is finally viable and am sending it in to a contest again.

:-) :9 :9 :9 :toast: :toast: :bounce: :bounce: :wow: :wow:

8. Good luck with the script and don't reincarnate as an athlete quite yet.
It's about to get REALLY interesting so I truly hope you and all your inimitable wisdom stick around for a spell. That may be entirely selfish. LOL

Sounds as if you may be neutralizing that wohsome gambler karma.

Maybe just listen to some Jeff Buckley and not go totally wild for a while. (stella suggesting restraint-how funny is that?)

He drowned in the Mississippi during his progressed lunar return, like so many greats did.

He did it by channeling Huck Finn, I swear. Woh he was talented.

Yikes.

I had a dream under the Moon opposed Pluto squaring my Mercury, about leaving my emergency brake on and backing into and getting stuck surrounded by trucks. I bashed into a bunch of them. Not one of my better dreams. It's meaning in reference to my funky Mars and current frustrations is bloody obvious.

Hope your networking works out luv.

best

11. I just reread what I wrote . . .
It certainly built up steam in the telling, didn't it? I had forgotten all those good things and then when I read the post they all came flooding back with so much gratitude. The best part is that I had forgotten it already - I'm juggling some many things and my mind ! ! ! - and when I remembered, oh that, and that. It was a :wow: :wow: experience. Just to let my body experience those few little good things so that I just relaxed and had fun. I haven't done that in a while.

Ah! My black and white cat who was poisoned in my dream is back and healthy. Mummm.

And there's a red light on my dashboard that I have to get checked out tomorrow before my road trip to LA.

12. The only crap I've had to deal with this Merc retro has to do with CRAZY drivers.
Today/tonight was especially bad. Well, that and the fact that my head is in. the. clouds. I think that might have more to do with transiting Venus in my 5th house at the moment, but Merc Rx isn't helping. I cannot motivate myself to do much of substance really. Which is kind of embarrassing.

Edited on Tue Feb-27-07 08:53 PM by I Have A Dream
The all-day Cancer Moon may have you worrying more than usual about÷well, just about anything. The Moon is at home in the sign of Cancer and tends to accentuate your sensitivities. On some level, you're feeling every nuance of change and responding like a barometer fluctuating with every minute change in pressure. This effect has a lot to do with Cancer's love of being at home, where they aren't as inundated with constant external input. Tonight rolls in a very, very long Void of Course Moon, and though much can get done, it's often a random "luck of the draw" as to whether or not you can stay focused. Mercury's change in sign tonight is not helping matters, and if you have been following this book, you now realize that a change in signs requires an adjustment period. So, get focused.

You can sign whatever you need to sign today regarding business deals, but then get ready for random acts of kindness (or any other act you choose). Family members may need your attention tonight, and you'll have plenty of it to give.

13. I've only started paying attention to Mercury Retrogrades two or three...
retrogrades ago. The first one that I became aware of (last year sometime), I had major problems with packages. I had one package that took 3 or 4 weeks to finally be shipped and delivered even though another package from the same company arrived in days. I had another package that was lost by the USPS. They sent me a form telling me how to try to recover it from their lost goods warehouse, and then they were never able to find it when I tried to retrieve it. Another package was delivered to my house, and the UPS truck put it in my garage in the area where my garbage is kept. It was a really light box, and I almost thought that it was an already-opened box that just needed to be put out to the curb. Luckily, I realized that it wasn't since what was in it was a quite expensive power chord.

The next retrograde period, I had MAJOR problems with both my computer at work and my Internet access at home. I went from having no problems at all with my Internet access to having Comcast come to my house 4 times in one week. My computer at work was fried twice during this period.

Knocking on wood, I haven't noticed any problematic patterns this retrograde period. I wonder why... Maybe it's what sign Mercury's in at the time that it's in retrograde? However, my coworker, who has been laughing about my Mercury Retrograde stories, has had major problems this time with computer malfunctions. He's going to be a believer yet! :)

14. And what's even weirder
is that tonight Mercury BACKED UP INTO AQUARIUS... That's like backing into another driver who's already going backward. Or is it? The word "Aquarius" in Greek mean "freaking paradox". What's up is down and all around.

I'm scared to death. I have great respect (i.e. fear) of screwups during RX times. Yikes. My Palm Pilot stopped working tonight - then it restarted. My laptop stopped - then it restarted. That must be how salmon swim upstream - now I got it figured out!

IHAD, stop sending packages! Get two cans and a LONG string! :hurts:

 (Yeah, we're addicts...)

We tried to get it to start working again (according to JVC wisdom on the all-knowing Internets boards, when this particular light starts blinking, you're supposed to unplug it for an hour or so--we left it unplugged overnight) but no dice.

And I have seen some MAJOR dumb driving this morning (ridiculous speeds and passing on a curve with a double line, etc.) Gah--quite alarming!

I hadn't thought of this as being related to Mercury retro .. but reading the Karen column that Dream posted made me remember, I am being way more quiet than usual. I don't feel like talking to anyone. That's very unusual. Karen mentions not being able to access the right word(s). There is some of that also. I'll be glad when this is over so I can get back to my talkative self!

17. Took the car in last week for 90,000 mile maintenance.
Brought it home, something was dripping, also had a burnt smell. Took it back. They said, oh, the tech just didn't get everything cleaned off well enough, we're sorry, it's good to go now. Brought it home, still drips, still smells. We took it back down there this morning. This car has never had a problem with leaking oil or leaking anything. Until now.

I was thinking of telling hubby we should have waited a couple weeks to take the car in, but it was overdue, and he would have thought I was crazy. I finally told him about Mercury Retrograde after this started and he wasn't laughing anymore. BTW, we also had 2 flat tires in quick succession on the other car. The second flat came 1 week after putting brand new tires on it.

Mental note: Keep track of Mercury Retrogrades in the future. When is the next one, anyway?

I get to deal with all their issues.

I got lost 4x in one day last week. It was funny until it got old. I was armed with two maps and (what I thought were) clear directions.

The rest of the holiday :) seems like it's about reconnecting:

I've been running into old friends by the droves, and have been able to spend meaningful time with current friends.

We're finding things that we long ago wrote off as lost (practically speaking it has a lot to do with cleaning house and hard drives).

Yes, I think Saturn Neptune and Mercury Rx has have something to do with it. However, last 8/31/06, when Saturn first opposed Neptune, the market was OK. It's very difficult to do financial astrology - it's a whole separate field.
I know little about it. I suspect harmonics are very involved.

But in honor of the Saturn Neptune opposition I posted this humble request on the monthly prayer thread.

38. question
I was wondering if anybody knows whether it is safe to do medical procedures on the morning of 3/7. I'd scheduled one then, thinking it would be ok since merc goes direct later that day. But am not sure if the effects of the merc retro wear off gradually or start wearing off a day or two before the 7th. Anyway, thought that would be of interest on this board.

It is generally not advised to do anything critical during time of it going "stationary." However, I've seen people do it over and over and have no problems... Just double-check all document, information, agreed upon time appointments, etc.

Good luck

40. This is a 9 - good grief godaddy and thanks, may I have another visa.
It's a given that Godaddy's forms won't work and you must call in to renew a domain name. Well, yesterday our client tried to change the expiration date on his card-of-record to renew his domain name.

It wasn't good enough. Godaddy needed the 3-digit code on the back of the card for the transaction to go through.

But, our elderly client couldn't read the 3-digit security code on the back of his business credit card, since it had worn off, and so he called his credit card company to get that number. Visa immediately said that if he can't read the number, nobody can, then canceled the card and told him that he'd get another in 2 weeks.

So for two weeks he has no credit card for business expenses.

41. Hey Crick
That is SO COMMON of a story...

I used to get all twisted up worrying each transit when I was new at astrology and sweated out as planets approached, etc. Through the years I've become much more relaxed about it all, even with approaching Mars. Yet, I find I'm kind of tip-toeing around the Mercury Rx. Apparently, I haven't sat quite softly enough. My toilet is now leaking. :hurts:

52. I had trouble with my newsletters as well.
I couldn't send it out over one of my email groups. It kept bouncing back, saying my address had been blocked! boy, I refused to think my clients had abandoned me so I had to get all the addresses and do it from another email.

And then my car needed to be checked before I head out tomorrow and -- thank god for moms who insist on getting a warrenty. I had a $500.00 repair job but it only cost $200. (Not as if I have $200 to spare - thanks mom!)

Everyone's experience of Merc Rx has been horrendous. - lots of little things, and big, going wrong.

Pray for me tomorrow on the road for 6 hours.

If I'm incommuncado for a while, don't forget me.

I hate having water issues! I went for years with one water issue after another, and I thought that I had somehow escaped from that pattern!

46. F**k, I have a Mercury retrograde mishap now too.
Locked out of my temple last night. Can't help but think there's some symbolic meaning to it.

I bought my house back in November and the room I use for a temple has a keyed lock on it (but no key). I've been meaning to change the doorknob but haven't had time yet. I'm SURE i didn't lock it behind me on monday (I never lock it) but when I went to use the temple last night I couldn't get in.

I'm going to do a very thorough banishing tonight. Can't help but think there's mischief afoot - either a pranksterish spirit - or me sabotaging myself. Either way...

Now it seems to be working beautifully again. It was under warrantee so I kind of now wonder more about the replacement they are sending for free under Merc Rx.

Straightened out an eight year old estrangement with someone with whom I had been close to since we were teens.

We got together this morning and just laughed all morning and didn't even revisit any of the BS that was based on total misunderstandings and idiotic and imagined jeolousies at all. It was as though he and I and another old friend were kids again. I feel as though I just retrieved a long lost and vital part of myself. Phew.

It was really fun.

49. It's wonderful when we can get past old grievances and return to the love...
that we felt for someone in the past. Congratulations on reconnecting in this way, stella! :)

53. Blech. 3 1/2 hour power outage tonight.
The power company folks showed up relatively quickly, but--!! I had to eat a PINT of the nastiest flavor of Ben & Jerry's I've ever tried (Black & Tan) so that it wouldn't melt. And it was cold as hell. Plus, lack of power has turned my roommate into Mr. Hyde this evening. Bleck, I say. Blech.

54. I've had my current land line for 14 years without interuption.
Edited on Sat Mar-03-07 12:49 PM by stellanoir
Yesterday a telephone pole caught fire at the end of the street and now we have no land line service until Tuesday. Ahhh. . .I've Jupiter in the third and am a total telephone junkie. Yeah we have a cell phone but this is going to be rough. Five days without my stellaphone service and the glaring stigma of a disconnect on a semi business line. Ughhh.

Pluto is squaring my Mercury as well.

Yet I can't complain really given what the Iraqis have to go without.

OMG we yanks are totally spoiled in so many ways.
