Sarah under Scrutiny - debate aspects

Sarah Palin Under Scrutiny

Astrologers who have been tracking John McCain's horoscope may have been startled when he opened his remarks at last Friday's debate with this comment: "I've not been feeling too great about a lot of things lately". Although he went on to frame his statement in terms of the financial crisis, it reminded many viewers that this man is 72 and has a history of health problems.

John McCain (August 29, 1936; 8:38 am*; Cocosolo AFB, Panama) was born with Saturn in his Sixth House of Health. This placement is under lifelong stress by being part of a Grand Cross, and as he debated last week, transiting Uranus -- the planet of unexpected action and surprises -- was exactly conjunct his Saturn. Many observers were taken aback when he decided to cancel his campaign until the bailout bill was secured.

While the Uranus transit can explain his abrupt turn, a closer look helps clarify what was really going on. Transiting Juno and Uranus were squaring each other last week as the two aligned with his natal Saturn. The involvement of Juno points to a break from his political partner, Sarah Palin, who had just conducted a disastrous interview with CBS anchor Katie Couric.

The Vice Presidential Debate is scheduled to start at 8:00 pm (October 2) when the Moon is at 22º Scorpio and squaring Palin's Aquarius Sun. Over the next hour, the Moon will square her Mars, suggesting that she'll be full of fire and on the attack. Then, during the following few hours, the Moon will square her Saturn (which is conjunct the U.S. Moon) as Americans weigh in on how well she fared.

1. Thanks for posting this, katty!
Astrologers, can anyone tell us what the following means? For instance, are her prospects for being favorably viewed by the public good, bad, indifferent?

Then, during the following few hours, the Moon will square her Saturn (which is conjunct the U.S. Moon) as Americans weigh in on how well she fared.

TIA!

2. well, my interpret is Moon is "the people"/mass, a square
is a very difficult, "hard" aspect, with this square to her natal Saturn in Aquarius (Saturn is lessons/karma, etal)(later) the reviews will not be too good - she won't be perceived as a 'serious' (Saturn) option for a potential veep or president (from "the people"/Moon).

3. actually, she has other Aquarius planets in her natal chart
that will also be squared by the Moon in Scopio (technically speaking)so it could be even worse than the reviews she got from her recent interviews.

5. sure-we shall see-the media will probably baby the prom queen,

but she will have to do more than just get angry and use catch phrases. She is essentially a bully like McCain, but she is more calculated in her 'smiley-face' aggressiveness-however, Palin is way out of her league now--so she's looks/acts confused because she is.

Sarah Palin Debate Prediction : A Ball of Confusion
http://astrologyofatrainwreck.astrologydetective.com/

... the Moon will be conjunct her Native Neptune and squaring her Sun/Mars/Saturn conjunction. It will be very difficult for her to project a commanding presence. The Moon adds a certain level of volatility. As it is squaring Saturn, she may be overly worried about staying on script, which may fluster her and she may end up making confused answers. There is also a high degree of delusion (or self-delusion) in this configuration, and she may refuse to admit she is going down, which may spiral to make things worse.

On the same day, she has Mars in the final degree of Libra squaring her natal Moon and Mercury. This is another extremely volatile energy, only this one may lead to brashness and being a maverick in the worse sense of the word. She may tend to overcompensate in a bluster of fury for things she does not know, which will not fool anyone, except due to the aforementioned Neptunian influence, herself.

Probably one the most serious aspects of the night is that the transitting North and South Node will be making an EXACT t-square with her natal Neptune. The Nodes on the Aquarius/Leo represent fate and karma and combined with Neptune in Scorpio, there will be the truthful honesty of Aquarius and Leo forcing things out into the light from hidden and murky Scorpio. There will be no more sweeping things under the rug.

...Things aren’t all rosey for Biden, however, as he has Neptune EXACTLY squaring his natal Mercury, which can lead to a mental confusion of his own. This long-term transit can go far to explain all the gaffes he has been making recently, and he may make more at the debate. Also both Mars and Mercury will be squaring his natal Jupiter, which could make him overly aggressive, so he would be best to tone it down.

11. My feeling is that Joe is going to come across as charming and
gracious, and the man we know him as, smart and engaging. I love Joe, who doesn't? He knows the issues, all of them.

Palin, OTOH, is not being true to her nature, she is parroting & she simply does not know the issues, nor does she have a good grasp on her own running mate's stances on them. She gets tripped up because you can't cram for this test. You either have it or you don't. She is a charlatan, her intent is to dupe, I do not have any sense of her feeling strongly on the issues, quite the contrary. If she got into power, she would be easily manipulated, obviously she abused her power in Alaska. She's not fooling women, she may fool some men, but not smart ones. They did not choose wisely with her, it will come back to bite them and I think they are catching on to that, but time does not allow them to change horses now. If she was a Rove pick, McPain must be seething inside, adding more fuel to his anger issues.

Happy Debate...love & light to you, Joe Biden, surrounding you with "We the people" light!

13. I think he did last nite-she was reading her talking points-appeared
to be very scripted--and really did not answer the questions. If this is what qualifies as one step away from the presidency these days-god help us all!

14. Yes, Joe was great, and I guess Palin answered a totally
different stance on the bankruptcy law than McCain actually holds, lol! She said he shared the same stance as Obama/Biden!!! And Joe just smiled....I can't say I'm surprised, both she & McCain have a complete lack of regard for the truth, but this was something she clearly was not aware of (among all the others) what a joke, she better be careful with her attacks, she's going to paint herself as a not so bright bulldog if that's the best she can do, by gosh, doggone it and say it ain't so....lol...what a couple of mavericks, indeed...yogi bear and his sidekick boo boo.

15. She looks scared to death
You are so right on. She memorized her scripts and recited each one of them, even if they weren't addressing the questions posed. She delivered them like a high school actor with major stage fright - poorly delivered. Maybe I missed a lot of comments on it, but you're the first one I've seen to point this out.

It's amazing how the media comes out and talks about how great she was, even though we all saw something different. Didn't she say something about that at the end of her speech? :wow:
