2. Re-upping my request for menstrual cramp relief.
I have conventional pain relievers, too, but I'm impatient right now.

3. Please keep my Grandparents on the list
My step-Grandad is back in the hospital with heart arthymias and they do expect him to be out soon but back into rehab which medicare may not pay for now and certainly won't much longer. Once he is out of rehab he has to go into a nursing home as we are not able to care for him. He can't walk or stand without lots of help. I know he is near the end of his life and I am so worried how my Grandmother will pay for what medicare won't cover. She is trying to get him on state medicaide but he may not qualify because they have a little bit of savings left in an annuity to help pay taxes. If she spends it like they advise she won't have the $ to help with the taxes. If she doesn't spend it it will be gone in a couple of months paying for the nursing home. My Mother and I don't have enough $ to cover it either. Neither of our homes are big enough for the other to move into to pool resources not that Gram is willing to leave her home and besides she would go bonkers in a week (and us too) as no one can do anything right other than her. She is wonderful, loving, and too generous for her own good but I can't even wash a dish correctly. My brain is going around and round like a hamster on speed trying to figure out a solution. my Grandmother is a nervous mess and my Mom isn't much better and my poor Granddad is depressed and confused so we think he must have had a stroke around the time of the heart attack. He looses track of conversation and card games where as before he was right on top of everything mentally the entire time :(

6. That's very sad. I'm so sorry that your grandparents have to...
worry about such things at this point in their lives.

Would it be possible for her to pay the taxes ahead of time?

I will definitely keep your family in my prayers, Shallah.

14. Prayers for you and your family in this situation
I like Dream's idea of prepaying the taxes, if possible.

16. Some great news!
The one social worker who told my Grandmother that she *could* have a little savings was right. She is well under the limit so she can keep the annuity and still get her husband on medicaide. He has been moved to a nursing home in the critical care section and when he does better he will be in long term care. He is in a place closer than before and that a friend of my Mom's own parent was at. That friend said everyone there was very kind and took wonderful care of her parent :)

If anyone here has older relatives that are likely to need more than medicare at some point be sure to advise them keep at least 3 years of bank and other financial statements. My Grandmother had not and my Mom has had to pay for her to get copies from all the banks at $7 per month and my Grandmother has 3 bank accounts even tho one only has more than the minimum $50 or so in it. I guess she never got around to closing the unused ones. Anyhow as the state has to constantly combat people who try to cheat the system by giving $100,000 to their kids and grandkids, according to the social worker, before applying for state help they go back 3 years to try to catch them. I have read that some states go back 10! So the moral of this story is keep your statements just in case!

Thank you all so much for all the good vibes! I know it helped my Grandmother get that nice lady at human services who squeezed her into her busy schedule without appointment after she had been told they didn't give appointments for this. She is also getting my Grandmother applied for help with her medicines because even with medicare, medicare part b, and the drug supplement she still pays $$. Her insurance alone eats up half her social security check.

7. I am sending and requesting love and light for Jeff Conaway
the actor, who is back in his alcoholism to what appears to be a deadly level. I'm hoping that I'm wrong.

It was consensually/publicly revealed on "Celebrity Rehab" so I'm not breaking anonymity.

Please add Amy Winehouse while you're at it. People have now seen what the disease can do; may they now see what recovery and God's will can do.

11. I will do this, BI. I'm visualizing her as a happy non-smoker.
Good luck, Mom of Blue Iris. Good for her for not giving up on her efforts to conquer this powerful addiction. She has my respect, as do all people who are working to overcome addictions of any kind.

She and her doctor had a close call last week when they almost put her on Chantix for smoking cessation, before discovering that it has recently been linked to a large rash of complications and several deaths. I think maybe she is open to accepting more divine guidance this time around.

15. She has patches and is doing the "candy substituted for cigs" thing. Hmmm. Obama.
She's a HUGE Obama fan. I wonder if his attempt to quit smoking has anything to do with hers.

23. Please, more light for my husband.
He is just...really frustrated and somewhat depressed about the job situation. We have a possibility of something starting in two or three weeks; but he does not trust the person who offered it to him; and he is really unhappy right now. I would appreciate any calming vibes you could spare. I am sorry to ask again.

Myself; I am good! Love to you all and everyone on the list.

Thank you again.
