I have been in temporary accommodation now for 4 month...it has been an incredible, bizzare and strange journey for my family. But please know, my heart is always with this group and DU as well as the Election Reform group, I have rarely had the emotional freedom to check any forums or posts, and when I can not contribute a meaningful or positive post, especially for this forum, I usually don't.
Within all this, I am rarely in a negative state, and I believe it is thanks to all of you over the years, that I am armed with the core truth to withstand these challenges, without breaking down.
There are many unwritten posts, well-wishes, light and response posts in my head for this forum since, and I did not even have a chance to share in the celebration of a new beginning for this country with the election of Obama. I did however share it with an elderly man, as I told him the night before: "Watch, it is going to be a landslide", a I had this incredibly strong feeling, and he had tears in his eyes and said; "Thank you Ma'm". The night of the election he was gleaming and said, "
you said, it will be a landslide", and he was all smiles. I told him my daughter had a local supermarket write "Congratulations Obama", on a cake - which she bought before the outcome was known, and we were prepared for a long night, and he choked yet again. My daughter told me, the supermarket attendant said, "with pleasure". I believe, we were all acting as One that night.
I am happy for the elderly man, and I am happy for many others and all of us. But we have to also remember, we can not make one man shoulder all the burden of the ills, we all have to play our part, in whatever way we can. I think, we will finally start creating the foundation for a great global community of the future. Absolutely beautiful. :)

The Metal Element is associated with letting go and its emotion is grief, so it's no wonder that during this time of year many people feel blue. This autumn has been a time for letting go on multiple levels and many people have been forced to "let go" of their jobs, their savings, and even their homes.
Grief is a natural and healthy response of a balanced Metal Element. But when our Metal Element is out of balance we can be emotionally stoic or we can grieve excessively for what has been long lost.
At the lighter end of the spectrum, another aspect of the Metal Element is appreciation. Appreciation can lessen our sense of loss. By appreciating all that we do have and staying connected to our core values, we can let go with ease. Just as we do not grieve the loss of each exhaled breath, let us gracefully let go to receive the sustenance that is waiting to fill any emptiness.
As we near the end of this Metal Element season I am offering the Autumn Seasonal Repatterning proxy group session, free of charge, in appreciation for everyone who has supported me in my work this year. You may be wondering, since we are nearing the beginning of winter isn't it too late for a Metal Element repatterning?
The fact is, the Chinese Five Elements do not stand alone. They are intricately connected with each other. Each element nurtures (yin/feminine energy quality) the next element in the seasonal cycle and each element controls (yang/masculine energy quality) its opposite in the cycle.
The Metal Element nurtures the Water Element which is associated with the winter. In this way, optimizing the Metal Element during the autumn sets you up for being able to flow in the winter by nourishing the Water Element qualities.
Metal also controls the Wood Element which is associated with springtime. If the Metal Element is unbalanced then it cannot control the Wood Element energy and we may find ourselves having timing issues, being unable to focus or feeling angry and frustrated because we cannot access our inner vision and put our plans into action. Can you see how doing a Seasonal Repatterning for each season is essential to maintaining your balance throughout the year?
