Rick, thought of you last night with the storms

We had several strong lines of storms come through last evening in the Chicago area and the electricity went off. Because I had read about the June 22 Supermoon, I had mentally already gone through a checklist of what I should have around the house - batteries, radio, candles, etc. They all came in handy last evening. It actually was a charmed twelve hours until this morning when the power was restored. Neighbors came out to talk, I read by candlelight, and listened to the news on the radio. The kids were thrown for a loop - made me realize how dependent (sadly) their lifestyle is based off of electricity. All for all, it wasn't a bad experience.
