My humble effort (pics)
Before and after. Here's the plot, all dug up and ready to plant. It's not real big but it's just me here.

It's been a cool, wet summer, way up north here, but I got food.

Behind the peas are onions, turnips and swiss chard, then the zucchini, all of which I've been eating. The tomatoes in the back really should be turning red any day now.

This is the first full garden I've ever had. Next step, build a greenhouse!

1. We're still waiting for red tomatoes here, too.

The nights have been cool, so this could take awhile! :)

Congrats on your efforts!

2. My dream is a greenhouse.
It's looking very good. I'm on my first garden ever this year and I'm having a great time with it. Good luck with the rest of your harvest. You said you were up north, is there anything you can plant for fall and winter? Or is it too cold where you are?

3. Thank you fellow gardeners,
I wish successful crops to all.

In the winter I have to rely on windowsill pots so I just do onions. I will try chard this winter though, it doesn't take up much space.

7. Schweeeeet!
Is there anything more wonderful than getting that first crop going? You never know what that soil and your "thumb" will do until you put them together.

Peas? Yummy! I'm going to put snow peas in for this winter. I've just got my winter patch tilled (yeah, I'm WAY behind, but NC has mild winters, no great hurry; I'm just hungry for snow peas!).

Congrats! Any plans for next growing season?

8. Terrific!
Any effort at all that anyone makes to grow even a little of their own food is awesome in my book.

There's been an awful lot of zucchini bread with slight variations being made and eaten here the past few weeks. Enjoy your delicious harvest! :hi:
