Who can tell me about growing Amaryllis?

I have some bulbs that were given to me and one has bloomed already. I'm removing the flowers as they dry up but wondering if I should cut off the entire flower stalk once the last flower is gone. I want to keep them growing and move them outdoors when it's safe to do so. Maybe I'll keep them in pots so I can bring them back in as needed.

So, what to do about the stalk? Remove it or let it die back on its own like I would with daffodils?

1. I have them
You can do either. They make nice greenery all year. You can leave the leaves if you want. But it's okay too if you trim them. I divide mine every year or so. Just dig em up and seperate the bulbs. Replant them and you are all set.

2. If you cut back the stalk and feed it, you might get a secondary set of leaves & blooms,
as I am now.

4. Thanks for the tip. I'd like to have them

re-bloom outdoors, too, if possible, so I'll feed them well and see how it goes.
