Now isn't it, but when's a good time to replant a X-mas cactus?

When I moved mine into a bigger pot the last time, it didn't bloom for a year or two. Are there any guidelines? I know they like to be root-bound, but mine is getting a bit ridiculous.

1. Wait a couple of weeks after the last blossom falls off...
...and then repot it in a pot just about an inch to an inch and a half larger in diameter. Helps also if you severely prune back the top growth when you do that, which lets more energy go into root growth while it "rests" after blooming.

Be brave... I know how painful it is with a big beautiful specimen that had just delighted you with a flood of spectacular bloom. But in the long run it will thank you.

encouragingly,
Bright
